Gabby POV
I took the small piece of folded paper in my hand. Then I opened it. It read :
" text me sometime 267 985 9405 -jacob"
Victoria : well.....what does it say ??
I take my eyes off the paper looking at Victoria , refocusing.
Gabby : wait. How did he even get it in my pocket. Wait who is jacob??
Victoria : he must of slipped it in your hoodie pocket when Ciera was distracting you. I'm assuming he was the boy next to you. Since the boys were calling him "jake".
Gabby : ohhhh that's right !
Victoria : so ....... Are you gonna text him tonight ?
Gabby: ( throwing the piece of paper on her desk ) nope. Not tonight I'm tired. It's been a long day. I'll do it tomorrow.
Victoria : mhmmmm okay. Don't ruin your chances though. He's a cutie.
Gabby : that's how all boys look when you first meet them ( jumping into her bed)
Victoria : he might be different. You never know.
Gabby :blahhhhh ( pulling the covers over head)
Victoria : well good night to you to.
Victoria turns off the light and slips into her bed.
* the following morning *
All the girls did their usual routines. Change clothes, brush teeth, shower if needed , and cleaned their room a little. We third years for always energetic in the morning , which in a way was annoying to the younger
Girls in the program. It's our last year! How Could we not be happy! But it's bitter Sweet at the same time.
We were now on our way walking towards the dining hall. The third years were in the back of the pack as Mel lead us behind the first and second years.
Mel : call me slow, but I'm just noticing that you guys weren't
Watching the BET Awards with everyone last night. That's unusual because every girl loves to watch it.
Our eyes all widened as we
Began to look at each other for answers
Ciera : well .....we're not every girl.
Sha'nhye : and we got a butt load of homework we had to finish.
Mel : on the first day ???
Andrea : yup. We pulled a.... Educational all nighter. (Smiling).
Mel: and y'all were super quiet....it was like no one was even in their dorms.
Gabby: well we're....uhmmmm.....quiet stud-i-ersss
I'm not even sure if that's a real word. But it makes sense, well at least to me.
Mel: Okay, I believe you guys. It's just that I had a feeling. I wasn't sure what that feeling was trying to tell me. But we all as a group need to bond more. MORE GIRL TALK!!!!
Alia: woo-hoo (sarcastic)
the rest of us said nothing, probably because of the fact that every year since we've started, we've done girl talk. It was fun at first, but now it's so redundant. We all know each other so well! what secrets do we have left to tell each other?? We found these conversations to be stupid and it's just annoying to do them now. But I guess we could do it for Mel.
