"Hi, Prairie!" Monokid blurts out upon me opening my door to my dorm, jumping up and down on my bed in obvious excitement. I dust off flour from my damp coat and perk up, a smile gracing my features when I see his happy face.

"Monokid!" I chirp, letting the door swing shut behind me and bounding over to the bedside to greet him. "What are you doing here? Did the other kubz finally let you off the leash?"

"Sorry, but no dice," Monokid huffs, no longer jumping on the bed as he turns his attention to two items sitting comfortably on the bed. "I just came to drop off these thingamabobs. It's for that party for Himiko- everyone got one designed for them by Monophanie! She finished yours after...you know. The lab incident."

I regard the white bag gently draped over my bed, making me glance at the bottom closely where I can see some notable enlargement like a possible fanning out of some material, when I give it a closer look, I realize it's a hanger bag for dress wear and unzip the front immediately to see a blue cinderella-like dress greet me.

The dress has a white satin hem running along the bottom and around the waist in a bow, shining a pearly color under the light that matches the accompanying necklace. Along the skirt and the puffed up hem the dress glimmers with sparkles as I pull it out from the case. The sleeves towards the upper hem are made of a sheer skin colored fabric, blue glitters along the sheer part as it dips down into a thicker weave of the same glitter blue shade. The sleeves look short, but extend to the middle fingers with a little loop. The underskirt has a wiry fabric of fluff, the kind made to give the skirt a poofy look.

"How did you guys...? On such short notice?" I ask, thinking back to how few days it took for them to put it together. Monokid just puffs his chest up and grins at me.

"That's the power of looming deadlines! Nothing to set your ass on fire to work like a deadline that's creeping closer every waking moment!" Monokid laughs, before jumping up and down again. "Hurry up and put it on! It's gonna look pretty!"

Hyped by Monokid's excitement to see it as well as my own, I discard my clothes as fast as possible, eventually grabbing the dress and stepping into it from the back. I pull it up over my torso and-

The sound of knocking at the door happens while I'm trying to reach behind me for the zipper. I ignore it at first, pulling up and feeling the fabric object slightly as I try to pull it up. It stops at the small of my back, refusing to go up anymore when I pull.

...Eh?

I pull at it again, using my other hand to tighten the sides so I can yank it up more. The knocking has stopped for a moment, only to continue as I attempt to wrestle the zipper up properly.

"Er, Prairie? I-I don't think you can zip it up on your own, it needs to be straight," Monokid comments gently when he sees my growing frustration.

"Yes, I can! I just have to keep it in place right here and..." I drop my arms from the exhaustion of adjusting and pulling to no avail. Before I can verbally concede and ask him for help though, a voice makes itself known on the other side of the door.
