By morning, preceding seven thirty when Angie is likely to knock on my door, I'm already awake and I don't feel rested at all. Not having Rantaro's warmth makes it all the more difficult to sleep, even with Grubbles here enveloped in my arms.

Just when I think I should make more of an effort to keep sleeping, the sound of knocking pushes that thought away. It's brazen, not the casual knocking of a visitor, but the aggressive knocking of a person demanding entry.

"Prairie! Come out here! Now!" Tenko's voice calls from the other side in a yell, making my eyebrows crease in frustration. Angie is the one that's supposed to come visit first, so what's up with this? Unless Angie is with her...?

Just get it over with and open it up, or she'll probably stand there all day screaming at my stupid door...that or she'll break it down entirely.

I never thought I'd see a day where I would prefer Angie to knock on my door over Tenko.

With the remaining expansion item, the D.I.C.E. stamp, shoved under my pillow inside the pillow case, I drag myself out of bed in my jammies and pad over to the door barefooted. I'm taking my sweet time, enough so that Tenko is compelled to pound her fist on my door again- not out of concern or anything, it seems.

"PRAIRIE, OPEN THIS-"

I unlock the door and pull it open silently, meeting her frustrated gaze as soon as she locks eyes with me. For a moment, I'm caught off guard as her body slackens somewhat- in relief. I thought she was banging on my door because she was angry with something else I've done, I don't know. I haven't done anything else to garner anyone's rage, at least not publicly yet. Have I?

"Finally! Could you answer the door any slower?! Kirumi was let out!" She exclaims, prompting my stomach to drop almost instantly.

Maki appears in the doorway beside her, wriggling her way in to scan my room and then grab my spare coat from where it hangs behind my door.

"Quick, put this on," she says, just as I begin to hear the sounds of raised voices in the dormitory lobby. They're definitely not raised voices of the joyous kind, that's for sure.

"Maki? What's-?" I start to ask, before she pulls me out to the second level. I almost slip on all the water, squeaking as she shifts to steady my imbalance.

"Careful. That little problem down there was up to no good again..." Maki says, gesturing down to the lobby where it seems everyone is arguing.

I can see Rantaro at the edge of the group near the base of the second level where my room hangs over, looking up at where I am with a relieved sigh once I'm visible. If I'm to guess, at least based on the way Angie is holding him back by his arm, he was probably disallowed from approaching me by her and Tenko. That's my best guess, or he probably would have used Kokichi's thick skull to break down my door and verify my safety.

And it looks like people already believe Kokichi's done it...but what's this about Kirumi?

"...definitely! And I'm not arguing that it's a bad theory, it's just wrong," Kokichi argues as the three of us climb down the last steps.

I'm finishing tying up my coat around my jammies when Kokichi turns his head to give me that one calculating look I was already prepared for. Just as I thought, he's checking to see if I'm involved in this new mess. I am, but only partially- unless I've started sleepwalking or something. Even if I have, I still doubt "sleepwalker-me" would go and let Kirumi out.
