we went to his office , the door was opened and he was standing near the window , head bowed down and hand resting on the bottom frame of the window , he seemed depressed !
His coat and tie were lying carelessly on his table .. I looked at Izzy and she was tensed for her brother because it's very rare to see him this depressed
We knocked the door and he nooded , his eyes were still closed and head still bowed down !
" Chris do you want to talk ?" Izzy finally asked after a lot of hesitation
He turned back and gestured us to come inside and sit on the chairs lying near his table
Which we followed .
" What happened ? Where did you went ?" Izzy asked
As soon as she completed her words Chris's expression got changed he was now not depressed but discontent ...
He expelled out his breathe and finally answered her
" We went to Jonathon " he literate
" Jonathon ? Why " Blake asked
" Today morning , he called me and told that he has got the paper of dad's illegal business of guns and thus he have given them to police due to which dad got arrested , he said that if I give him hazel back he will make dad free also he offered me 70 crores "
Chris didn't completed yet , he just stopped there ... For a second it seemed he was not getting words to tell further so it took a pause
" And then ?" Blake asked and curiousity was now on it edge
" I talked to hazel about it and we decides to have a meeting with him " he said and again stopped it seemed he didn't wanted to say further
" So what happened there ?" Izzy asked
" I had to sell her again "
" What the fuck " was the only words came out of our mouth as he completed his words
" You are lying right ?" Izzy asked
Chris didn't answered anything , just looked at her and her eyes clearly stated that he wasn't lying
" How can you do this ?" Blake almost shouted
" I know , whatever I did was not right , I shouldn't have sent her back but I didn't had any other option I tried to contact the police offered them millions of money but they were stuck to there words , On the other hand hazel forced me to do this though I said that I would find another way to solve this but she forced me till me edge " he said and guilt was clearly seen in his voice which was low and breaking
Chris's POV
I finally said them the truth , they all were very upset from me as I expected but at the same time they to understood my situation , for sometime we all were blank we didn't know what to do ? It was then suddenly my phone rang, an unknown number flashed on its screen
" Mr. Chris Charles walter , how are you friend " the familiar voice boomed
" What to you want ?" I asked
" Nice to know that you still remembered me " John said , yes it was John reed , I don't know why he called me right now but I am not at all in mood to talk with him
" Come on the point , I don't have time " I said raspingly
" Well , I just wanted to inform you that game has started my friend , get ready to loose everything you have right now " he exclaimed and suddenly it stroke to my mind that whatever is happening is because of him not Jonathon
Before I could say anything he cut the call.
Why I didn't thought this first , I should know that Jonathon alone cannot ever reach to my dad , it was John who helped him , it was all his plan .
My thoughts were broken when nosh asked me about the call
" Who was there ?" Noah asked
" John reed " I declared
" What ?" Was the reaction of them
" It's not Jonathon its John who is doing all this thing , he want to take revenge and Jonathon is helping him " I said and now I can clearly identify the truth !
It was John who gave those papers to Jonathon and then jonathon gave it police , John's uncle used to be employee in dad company , which was a legal company but still we used to do illegal business there , he might have got those papers from him .
Next thing , how suddenly Jonathon became so rich ? He must have did partnership with John or he would have land money to Jonathon
And I know it has be John who would have asked for hazel not Jonathon
" Pack your bags , we are leaving the country in 12 hours " I announced and made my way out of the room
