Separate Tides

I was sitting in class trying to listen to whatever the teacher was babbling about.
But my mind was somewhere else, and I don't know where.

I found myself doodling in my sketchbook as the teachers voice filled my ears.

Why can't she just stop talking

"Y/n? Are you with us? " The teacher said with an annoyance in her voice.
I sighed.
"Nope." I simply replied with a sarcastic smile.
The teacher sighed.

"Then what can I do to make you listen? Perhaps send you to the principals office?" She said with an almost evil grin.

"No, but you could shut up, your voice is making my head hurt." I simply replied.

"Excuse me!?" She shouted back at me.

"You're excused." I replied.

"Out of my classroom!"

"Gladly." I said with a smile as I stood up and grabbed my stuff.

I quickly walked out of the classroom and strutted to my locker.

I walked out of the school heading for the market of bonesborough.

And this was my life, me getting annoyed at everything and everyone, me getting kicked out and me getting bored.
Nothing ever happened in my life.
I sought thrill and excitement, some people would even say I was addicted to adrenaline which I might be but what's wrong with that. But I was stuck in school, doing pointless busywork.
I live with my older brother that does not like adventures or basically anything exciting.
He goes to work at 6 am and comes back home at 6pm.
While I just stay at home.
Oh, and did I mention that I live on the Boiling Isles? No?
I live on the Boiling Isles, in other words the demon realm.
And i'm a witch, like basically everyone that lives here.
Some people would say that i'm pretty powerful, and I agree with them.
To bad that I will be forced to join a coven, which I don't want.
That would restrict me, and I don't need any more restrictions at the moment.
I'm forgetting the most important part of me lol. I'm 16 years old and my name's Y/n.

After about 10 minutes of walking on the dirt part that lead to the market I finally arrived.
There were people everywhere.
Some were laughing, some where crying and some people was getting their stuff stolen.

I kept walking through the market, when something caught my eye.
The bounty board.
And some ideas came to my mind.
I immediately changed directions and walked over to the wooden board that was covered with posters.
I started scanning every single poster.
Wanted: A friend? Wtf lol
Wanted: The Abominable Cutie Pie? Hell no
Wanted: Selkidomus? Damn that's a lot of snails! That's the one.
I pulled it of the board and walked over to the bounty dude.
"I want in." I said determined.

The captain was telling us all about this Selkidomus and what we were gonna do.
When he was done I saw him walk over to a girl my age and saying something to her but I couldn't hear what.

I was doing some small talk with the girl from before.
Her name is Luz and she's a HUMAN.
A human on the boiling isles!
She had her "pet" with her and his name is King.
But now we hadn't seen him in a while.

And from nowhere Luz's shouted "She's here!"
And everyone ran to the side of the ship to see it.
And a very large creature rose from the boiling water.
It shot spikes at us which Luz and I dodged with ease.
We both casted ice spells that formed ice walls in the water, capturing the selkidomus.
Luz casted a plant spell that wrapped green, luscious vines around its body and everyone began to help her.
