A/ N: damn. What a week already.

I'm keeping up the writing, but it's quite hard, cause the ideas aren't really flowing. So, the next update will take a while, I guess.

Btw. I watched Bridgerton- I'm so not a fan of that kind of series, but I couldn't stop-🙃

Stay healthy and kind💕

* * *

Well... just like that first night I spent without Cate close by, the past days went basically as well. That feeling of emptiness, which filled every fiber inside of me, after she hung up our calls every night. It was honestly drowning.

Silently crying on the bathroom floor and-
I've been trying, to come up with several positive thoughts, yet they all turned into negative ones, in an instant. As if the joy was being infected by a virus.

I hated to admit it, but since Cate left, I felt rather... alone. It was overwhelming. All of this. The kids even acted a little off, however it's only been since two days maybe. Roman was creeping around an awfully lot. I'd say Iggy and Edith did the same, but they have always been more of the social types, so it's hard to tell. Both are big empaths, as well.

So, there again, Iggy stares at me, from where he sits. Why do the kids act so weird? I placed my phone in my lap.

"Okay, why are you eyeing me like I have dirt in my face?" The boy shook his head, as if he was watching the movie. Good acting. Well, he got good DNA.

"I didn't-" Iggy stopped himself, the second I cocked my eyebrow. "Fine... You seem like you're sick..." I chuckled at that statement, at first.

"I'm fine." I smiled weakly and sniffed. "I'm fine, really. It's just the allergies."

"You're sick. Your face looks like, you could fall asleep or puke or do something else any time." The boy stated, as he got up from his seat. "I can call mom and ask-"

"No, no, we don't want to-to disturb her." Suddenly my throat scratched horribly, as if it was irritated by the words, which caused me to cough a few times. Edith, who sat next to me, gazed as well at me now. Her blonde brows knitted, as she fanned the air with her freshly painted nails.

"Maybe you should sleep, when we are gone. Dad will be here soon. So you have peace at home, in a few." Iggy suggested, whilst tilting his head.

"I might do that, but for nooow I have to finish painting someone's nails, don't I?" Edith grinned and hold her other hand out for me. "Green again?"

"Yep." She nodded once and so the girl placed her hand palm on mine. Her blue eyes shimmered full of excitement, whilst I managed to open the nail polish with one hand. "Green is pretty."

"It is." I smiled and began to paint the nail on her pointing finger. "Very much like spring." The girl nodded eagerly.

"Can you paint my nails too?" Iggy asked suddenly, however, before I was able to agree, Roman cut in, making my answering impossible.

"Dad won't like it." And at this comment, the boy's face dropped and my heart sunk. "But when we're back home, you can have your nails painted." Iggy's older brother smiled, in attempt to cheer him up.

"You can choose whatever color you want." I smiled and so did he, at least lightly. "Just wait a tiny bit longer." I winked.

The name Paul was just growing even more, to become poison on my tongue as well. He could not possibly have always been like that, right? I mean, Cate would have never slept with him in first place, if this man has been such an old fashioned twat. She wouldn't have talked to him, if he was such a bitch. She is too smart.
