~10 Years later~

"Ashlyn. That necklace that you found when you were three doesn't mean anything." Ms. Birdy said as I listened to my mother sob next to me. "Im just so w-worried theres something w-wrong with her" my mother said while my father wiped away her tears. "You guys just don't get it!" I yelled as everyone in the room looked at me like I just killed someone.

Ever since I woke up to find the strange necklace, I have felt like it was connected to something. Two Times before, the key turned gold and glowed, burning my collar bone as I wore it. Interestingly enough, it only happened when i saw a man on the news who sticky-uppy hair, who wore a long tan trench coat and a blue suit. He always had someone with him, usually a girl. I stomped out of the psychiatrist's office and i ran outside crying.

I sat on the curb with my face balled up in my hands, my makeup smearing everywhere. I felt as the wind picked up, and the sound of an old engine starting up about 20 yards away, but I ignored it, as though it wasn't important. I heard someone walk over to me. I saw dusty white converse and I looked up slowly. It was man. "No. It can't be." I heard the man say as I looked up at him, probably looking way worse than I thought.

"Chancer?" The man said walking closer to me, and then sitting next to me.

"What? Who's Chancer?" I asked, looking at the man his hazel eyes meeting mine. "Whats your name young lady?" he said staring at the key around my neck.

"Ashlyn. Ashlyn Irizarry." I said looking at him still somewhat sniffling.

"Whats wrong Ashlyn?" he said looking at me with worry in his eyes.

"Well, when I was three I lost a tooth. and in the morning i found this under my pillow." I said taking the necklace off and setting it in his hands.

"How could you have this?" he said his eyes meeting mine again.

"Pardon?" I said, then hearing my parents walk out the office and yelling at each other. The man quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me to a blue box, which said Police Public Call Box.

I yanked my hand out of his, and said,"Who the hell are you?!" I said looking at him, then looking at my parents run towards me.

"Im The Doctor." He said with a sly grin on his face.

I took his hand back as he pulled me into the blue box and locking it so my parents couldn't get in.

"NO. You can't be." I said looking at the man and the looking around the inside of the box. In the middle of the room was a console, with all sorts of buttons and levers. I slowly walked up the stairs and the man came over to me taking my coat and putting it on the rack.

"Thank you" I said making eye contact with him.

"Your The Doctor. The actually properly real Doctor." I said looking around the inside of what he calls it, The TARDIS.

"Yes. How do you know that?" he asked somewhat confused but still smiling at me leaning against the console.

"Well if thats true, I need you to tell me what these two things mean." I rummaged around in my coat, and pulled out a locket, along with my necklace I had been wearing earlier. I walked over to him, handing him the two objects.

"I know the writing on this one." I said pointing to the locket. "Its Gallifreyan." I said as he quickly looked up at me.

"How could you possibly know that?" he said, confused.

"I can read it. I don't know why, but I just can." I said still looking at the man. I could tell from the look in his eyes that he wanted me to tell him what it meant.

"Its says, The Chancer." I said looking down at the locket.

"How... Thats not even possible.." he said running around the console and flicking switches and pressing buttons. He turned to me, and I looked into his eyes. I saw sadness, pain, fear, and somewhat a bit of compassion.

"You never answered my question." he said finally looking away.

"How do you know who I am?" I fell to the ground as the TARDIS stopped suddenly. I stood up, and sat on the seat in front of the console.

"Well, ever since I've gotten this key, I've had dreams about a man who had the same name as you, and looked the exact same." I said examining the locket, rubbing my finger over the designs. The Doctor didn't answer.

"What does this mean Doctor? What am I?" I asked standing up and going to stand next to him. He was hunched over the console, gripping tightly to it. He turned to face me, the room my hand and opened the TARDIS doors. I looked out in aw, as we were looking at the Medusa Cascade.

"Oh my god. Its beautiful." I said turning to him, as I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly. Surprisingly, he hugged me back and put his chin on the top of my head. I tried to hold back my tears, yet they came out and slowly dropped down my face. He must have noticed, when he said,

"Hey.. Hey.. whats wrong?" he pulled away and put his hands down on my shoulders, looking me in the eyes.

"I told them. I told them you were real, but they didn't believe me." I said looking into his eyes more silent tears falling down. He took his thumb and wiped away the tears, and kiss me on the forehead.

"Lets take you back home." he said letting go and starting to walk over to the console.

"No. Please. Ive been waiting for this for 10 years. Please don't take me back already." I said grabbing hold of his hand before he could fully walk away.

~Doctor POV~

I turned back to her as she grabbed my hand. I looked her in the eyes, and saw sorrow and compassion, and the motherly attitude she had. I walked back over to her and sat her down, and i sat next to her; our feet dangling over the TARDIS. She lay her head on my shoulder, and I put my arm around her. Before you know it, she was asleep. I slowly got up and picked her up bridal style, and carried her to the room the TARDIS had made for her. I walked down the endless halls to finally see a room labeled, 'The Chancer' I opened the door to see a violin perched on a stand, the whole ceiling was a skylight, and her bed nuzzled in a corner, making it look cozy.

I carried her over to her bed and lay her down adjusting her pillows and pulling the covers over her. I walked around the room studying everything that the TARDIS had put in place for her. One of the walls was covered in books. I soon realized that these were all of her favorite books. The books I saw when I came that night, and gave her the key.

~Ashlyns POV~

I woke up to be in an unfamiliar bed. I looked around with groggy eyes, and saw The Doctor leaning up against the door frame.

"Good morning" he said with a smile plastered on his face.

"Good morning" I said yawning and stretching. I got up to see that on my dresser, The Doctor picked out something of me to wear. He picked out a light cargo jacket, black skinny jeans with rips on them, a dark burgundy t-shirt, and last but not least, and pair of all black converse. I walked over to him, snaking my arms around his neck making him stumble back a bit, before hugging my back, bringing his face to my hair.

I let go and kissed him on the cheek, and saw his face turn red as I walked away going to get dressed.
