Chapter 25: Breaking Promises

Next Day...

Sana came out of her house and saw Ayush and Shivangi standing there. She became confused seeing Ayush there.

"Ayush, tu aaj subah subah yaaha? Koi kaam tha?" Sana asked.

"Actually maine hi bulaya tha isse. Hum dono toh humesha akele hi school jaate hai. That's why I asked Ayush to give us company." Shivangi said.

Sana didn't say anything and gave a slight smile.

"Waise Shivangi, tune mujhe yaaha bekaar mein hi bulaya. Koi mujhe dekh kar sayad khush nahi hai." Ayush said in a funny way indicating to Sana indirectly.

"Arrey aisa nahi hai. Mujhe khusi hui ki tu aaya. Ab chale?" Sana said.

Ayush nodded.

Three of them started walking with their bicycles. Ayush and Sana were talking about various topics while walking. Shivangi smiled looking at them.

Soon they reached the school. As Sana and Ayush entered the school while talking, two eyes started staring at them angrily.

It was none other than Sid. He started fuming in anger seeing them entering the school together.

"Wah! Aaj saath mein school aaye hai yeh dono? Bas ek hi din hua hai hum dono ko alag hue aur abhi se naye dost bana ne suru kar liye Madam ne? Sahi hai! Ek hi din mein itni gehri dosti ho gayi ki saath mein school aana suru kar diya dono ne? Kabhi mere saath toh school nahi aayi."

He thought for a while and again said in his mind, "Waise aati bhi kaise? Main toh yehi Hostel mein rehta hoon. Lekin phir bhi ek baar puch toh sakti thi. Main maana thodi karta. Lagta hai Ayush iska mujhse bhi zyada close friend ban chuka hai. Ban jaye. Mujhe kya?"

Sid made a face looking at them and then left from there. He joined his gang.

Suddenly Sana noticed Sid talking with Rashmi. She became sad.

"Sab sach jaan ne ke baad bhi yeh mujhe itna affect kyu kar raha hai? I don't want to forgive him for whatever he did. Then why I'm getting affected by his closeness with Rashmi? Sayad mera isse ignore karna hi thik hai." Sana said in her mind and left from there.

After sometime...

Sana, Ayush and Shivangi were going to their classroom.

Sana thought something and said suddenly, "Ayush, mujhe tujhse kuch baat karni hai."

"Haan bol na." Ayush said.

Sana looked at Shivangi and said, "Tu class mein jaa. Hum abhi aate hai."

Shivangi nodded and went to the classroom leaving them alone.

"Why are you doing this?" Sana asked Ayush.

"What?"

"Kaal se baar baar mujhe cheer up karne ki koshis karna, aaj subah mere saath school aana, yun hi toh nahi kar raha hai."

"I am trying to help you to move on. After whatever you have gone through, I just want to make you happy."

"Shivangi ne kaha hai nah tujhse yeh sab karne ke liye?" Sana asked suddenly.

Ayush didn't reply. He caressed his own hair and gave a foolish smile. Then he nodded.

"Paata tha mujhe. Acchi tarah se jaanti hoon main usko. She can't see me sad. After all she is my bestfriend. Lekin Ayush, tujhe yeh sab karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. This is my problem. I have to deal with it. Mere liye tu kyu faltu mein pareshaan ho raha hai?....."

Suddenly Ayush hold Sana's hand and said, "It's ok Sana. Iss mein pareshaan hone ki kya baat hai? Tu friend hai meri. Bhale hi best friends na ho lekin friends toh hai hum. I know bohut dino se humari utni baat nahi hui hai. Lekin main tujhe sad nahi dekh sakta. Isliye as a friend main teri help karna chahta hoon. Please let me help you to move on."
