Everlasting Love (Bdubs/Etho)

{ A/N Okay listen ,before you read this I appoligize this did start off as fluff....then I had an idea and ran with it anyway have some totally cutesy bdubs/etho

Ship: Etho/Bdubs(of course)

Warnings: perma death(or is it) (nah it is) (unless??) , grieving ,angst , depression(technically)

Genre:angst (with a smidge of happiness at the beginning)

Also when the hermits aren't on hermitcraft they reside on the hub world ,this is not an irl au ^^}

Etho smiled underneath his mask as he made his way towards the flower shop, nothing but happiness in his heart, he was planning on getting the most beautiful bouquet of his boyfriends favourite flowers,  the thought of his  boyfriend brought a softer smile to his face, he couldn't help but reminisce  about the past, about how they first met, they had originally met through a friend, and from the very start they just seemed to click, and they stayed best friends for 10 years…it took them awhile to actually realise the feelings they had  for each other…were less than platonic.

It was their friends that finally got them to admit to themselves and each other, that they loved each other..except  they had yet to say they love each other, well Bdubs has many, many, but Etho just wasn’t ready yet, but he was going to change that today, he was finally  going to tell Bdubs he loves him.

Finally at the flower shop, Etho didn't bother browsing for other flowers, as he already had an order, as he approached the counter the florist perked up from their previous position, happy to serve a new customer, with a bright smile they greeted Etho, he could tell they recognize him from before,  they quickly excuse themselves to the back room, as they were gone Etho couldn't help but let his gaze wonder, his heart clenched as he watched the happy couples walk by, the sound of a voice broke him from his thoughts,

“Here you go sir , i hope your partner will love them” they spoke , with a bright smile upon their face

“ thank you ,this bouquet is beautiful , im sure my boyfriend will love them” he spoke softly, taking the bouquet from their hands

He couldn't help but admire the flowers, he knew Bdubs would love them, of course normally he would tease him.

Giving his thanks, he left making sure to say goodbye, and with that, he was finally on his way to meet his beloved, as his destination came into view ,he couldn't help but sigh , his heart clenching once more.

Standing in front of the gate, Etho stood still mentally preparing himself,  his previous smile gone, despite doing this time and time again, he still gets overwhelmed with emotions, both Beef and Doc says its normal to feel this way, they'd be more worried if he felt nothing, with a deep breath ,he pushed open the gate, flinching at the loud creaking it made, Etho looked down as he made his way towards where Bdubs layed, he didn't need to look up to see where hes going , hes visited this place almost every day , since the accident.

Etho sighed, as he finally made it to the place he needed to be, with a watery smile, he bent down,  placing the bouquet upon the rock,  that had Bdubs name engraved on it, he chuckled as he noticed the little notes that lay upon the grave, some were from him and some were from friends, and loved ones,

“ Hey Bdubs, sorry i haven't been here for awhile , Doc and Beef thought it was best , that i didn't spend most my days here, they told me to say hello to you and tell you that they missed you, sadly Doc’s been out of town on a business trip with Ren and Beef’s gone to visit family, so for now it's only me, but don't worry ! i've been doing good….but i've been missing you, god do i miss you Bdubs”

Etho couldn't hold the tears in anymore and he didn't fight the tears that flowed down his face, it was pointless, he tried to compose himself but he also knows that is also pointless,  it has been months since the incident but yet he still couldn't help but feel guilty, he knew deep down Bdubs death was his own fault, and nobody would convince him otherwise, if he had just  given bdubs a life and he shouldn't of had him kill Lizzie…but during that time they didn't know about the glitch, Bdubs didn't know if he stayed in spectator mode for to long on the server would cause perma death…it was a glitch that took an innocent life.. And deep down he wished  he could take Bdubs place.

“ You know…i did love you  Bdubs, i just wished i told you before it was too late, you know i was going to ask you to marry me, but i was also too late for that, god i'm a mess” he mumbled out softly

“ To be honest, i was actually here to say goodbye, i'm not going to be gone for forever, just Xisuma is planning the world move soon, so i have to leave the hub world…well i don't have to but i do think it's best that i join the others for the new world…  at least that's what Doc thinks, and honestly i think so to” he continued

“So my love, this is goodbye, i hope we meet in another life time or maybe one day i could find away to bring you back to me… i love you Bdubs and don’t you ever forget that,  one day i will see you again, and till then as hard as its going to be, i need to move forward…see you soon Bdubs”

Etho smiled softly as he said his goodbyes, leaving the place that brings him so much pain and heartache, he knows he wont be gone for long, and will still visit Bdubs, but he knows deep down he has to move on, he will always love Bdubs and Bdubs will always love him.
