Chenle's reaction was calm and composed as he walked out of the room, leaving Jisung standing there, feeling a mix of surprise and relief. For Jisung, this encounter with Chenle felt different, more relaxed than any interaction he had experienced in a long time. It was as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

As Jisung quickly gathered his belongings and made his way out of the store, he found himself stopped by Chenle outside. The apology from Chenle caught him off guard, but Jisung appreciated the gesture. "It's okay, I didn't even notice the door was cracked," he replied, his tone soft and reassuring.

Chenle's willingness to engage in conversation surprised Jisung. He hadn't expected this turn of events, but he welcomed the chance to connect with someone who seemed genuinely interested in getting to know him.

"Maybe we could walk around if you aren't doing anything," Chenle suggested, and Jisung agreed. He felt a sense of ease in Chenle's presence and was willing to explore this new dynamic.

During their walk, Chenle took the lead in the conversation, allowing Jisung to ease into the interaction. Chenle's question about how Jisung was feeling caught him slightly off guard, as it was rare for someone to show such genuine concern. "Okay," Jisung replied, his answer simple yet honest.

Chenle's understanding of overwhelming emotions resonated with Jisung. The way he expressed his feelings struck a chord, and Jisung found himself opening up. "Yeah, I didn't go see any of my family," Jisung shared, his voice tinged with a mixture of regret and resignation. He explained how he had been estranged from his father after a difficult period, his vulnerability a testament to the growing comfort he felt in Chenle's presence.

Chenle's empathy was palpable, and Jisung appreciated his genuine concern. As he listened to Chenle's experiences with his own family, a realization began to dawn on Jisung—that perhaps the walls he had built around himself were starting to crumble, revealing the potential for meaningful connections and understanding that he had long yearned for.

Jaemin walked into the jail's visiting area to see his father, Mr. Na. Memories flooded back, memories that were a mix of pain, confusion, and fear. He greeted his father with a mere "Hey Buddy," his tone betraying the complexity of emotions that simmered beneath the surface.

Mr. Na's attempt at a friendly smile was met with Jaemin's eye roll. His father's presence was a reminder of a past that Jaemin had worked hard to distance himself from. But he had come here with a purpose, a determination to confront the lingering questions that had haunted him.

"I came here to talk," Jaemin stated, his words carrying a mixture of apprehension and resolve. He was no longer the young child who had last seen his father. The years had brought change, growth, and an unwavering desire to understand the truth.

Mr. Na's reminiscing about their past encounters made Jaemin's discomfort more palpable. The memories held a twisted nostalgia, a reflection of a childhood tainted by fear and instability. Jaemin's father was a figure who had haunted his thoughts, a specter of unpredictability.

As Jaemin looked at his father, a sense of anger and resentment coursed through him. His father's instability had left scars that still affected him. The fear of his father's release was a reality that weighed heavily on his mind. He had no desire to rekindle any form of relationship with a man who had caused so much pain.

In the depths of his heart, Jaemin wished for Mr. Na to remain incarcerated, to pay for his actions and to spare the world from his instability. The years had hardened Jaemin, and his determination to protect himself was stronger than ever.

Jeno's routine walk around town took an unexpected turn when he heard the sound of sobs echoing from an alleyway. He turned his attention towards the source of the sound and was taken aback to see Renjun, someone who had always presented a tough exterior, now sitting against the wall, tears streaming down his face.

"Renjun!" Jeno called out, concern evident in his voice. Renjun's tear-streaked face looked up, his eyes reflecting a mix of surprise and vulnerability. Jeno didn't hesitate as he sat down next to Renjun, a silent show of support.

Sensing that Renjun might not be ready to talk, Jeno offered his presence instead. "You okay? If you need someone to talk to, I'm here," he gently conveyed, his words carrying a warmth that hoped to provide comfort.

Renjun took a moment to compose himself, wiping his tears before typing out a response on his phone. He showed Jeno his message, a window into his emotional turmoil.

"My childhood friend is moving tonight. He just told me an hour ago."

Jeno's empathy was palpable as he read the words. He understood the pain of sudden goodbyes, the feeling of loss when a close friend leaves. He knew that Renjun's heart was heavy, struggling to come to terms with the news.

Offering a few words of comfort, Jeno shared his perspective. "I understand you may feel sad right now. You have to remember, though, that it's his choice. He won't stop talking to you; he'll be a text away. Not saying he's not wrong for telling you last minute."

Jeno's words carried a mix of understanding and validation. He recognized Renjun's right to feel hurt while also providing a perspective that aimed to ease the immediate pain. In the midst of Renjun's vulnerability, Jeno's presence was a quiet reminder that he wasn't alone in his emotions.
