Alice's POV

I yawned and opened my eyes, sitting up as Strafe shifted in his sleep beneath me. Across the junkyard, Cade was sleeping in his trailer while the girl was sleeping in a car with the mini dino bots.

I quietly got off of Strafe and walked away, toward her car. Inside of it, she was sitting awake, petting one of them.

"Hey." I greeted.

She looked up in surprise, "Hi."

"Why are you up?" I asked her.

"Couldn't sleep?" I asked, sitting down next to her.

The mini velociraptor flew over and landed in my lap. I smiled softly.

"Yeah. Just thinking." She replied, "You?"

I leaned back, "I always sleep light."

"Must be cool. Having lived with a dino bot for years." She said.

"Yes, a little." I sighed.

It would have been better if it was Optimus. Or Cade. Gosh, I should have never left, and yet, I still feel like I should leave.

"Why are you here?" I asked her, fearing the answer.

"Decepticons killed my parents." She replied, confirming my worries.

"How long ago?" I asked.

"Two years. Since that last big battle." She answered.

I nodded, "We have a lot in common."

"The Decepticons killed your parents too?" She asked.

"Partly. My mother. Dad died a few months before that, back on my home planet." I told her.

She looked at me in surprise, "You're an alien!?"

"Half alien, yes. I haven't even been on Earth as long as Bumblebee." I told her.

"You don't look like an alien." She said.

"Well, yeah. I was born to be gorgeous." I joked.

She laughed lightly and smiled.

"Rise and shine!" Crosshairs said from another part of the jumkyard.

I stood up and got out. Izabella followed after me, sitting on the roof of the car with a blanket around her.

"Another boring day!" Hound grumbled.

"Hey, I'm here this time!" I told him.

"Oh goodie. Now it will be confusing too." He joked.

I laughed and looked at Izabella, "Aren't you and Cade supposed to be fixing Bumblebee today?"

She nodded, "Yeah. What about the whole end of the world thing?"

"We have time to fix Bee." I assured her.

She nodded and ran off.

I looked at Strafe, "You ready to go?"

"We're leaving already? I thought we were doing this with them." He asked.

"Yeah, but we should go scout the area before we get to work. This isn't base, we don't know what's around here." I told him.

"Why do we need to scout? We aren't even leaving until we're leaving for good." He questioned.

I scoffed, "Okay yes! I just want to go on a ride. I'm not used to so many bots around."

"Get used to it, dirtface." He rolled his optics.

I kicked his foot, "Moron."

"Woah! Watch your tone, Alice!" Crosshairs exclaimed.
