I decided to name him Roshta Vaal. Here's a bit of his backstory:

His master was a relatively young Jedi Knight, so she wasn't as experienced as some of the older Jedi. The Council only assigned him to her because she had excelled as a padawan and they assumed she would be a wonderful teacher as a result.

During their first few encounters, his master made it clear she was upset by the fact that he "took away her freedom" and became a burden to her. She was often angry with him no matter what he did and put him through rigorous training in order to make him meet her standards. As a padawan her emotional needs weren't always met, so she did the same thing to him, only worse. He tried to please her in any way he could, often sacrificing sleep and mental health days to train, but nothing seemed to matter.

All he wanted was her to be proud of him, and she couldn't even do that.
