𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒔𝒂𝒘 (𝐘𝐎𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐈𝐍)

"Jimin? What are you doing here?"

Yoongi's raspy voice was the first thing Jimin heard when the elder opened the door. He was standing  not far away from Yoongi, but enough to give them both space. It was already late and he decided to stop by his lover's studio, knowing Yoongi's too stubborn to come home.

Jimin's eyes lingers on Yoongi's feline ones, studying the elder's face. He can see bugs under Yoongi's eyes, it's not new to see bugs under the elder's eyes but still, Jimin couldn't help but to worry for his hyung. He was so hard working that sometimes, Yoongi forgets to take care of himself too. Jimin wanted to scold  the elder, but he came to have a talk with Yoongi for a different reason.

"Jimin?" Yoongi raises a brow, holding the knob in his one hand, not fully letting Jimin inside.

Jimin flinches when the other mentioned his name.

He called me Jimin... no pet names..

"H-hyung..? Can I.... can I come in? I want to talk to you about something. " he stutters, giving Yoongi a small smile and fidgets his fingers.

The elder stares at him for a couple of seconds, and Jimin knows that Yoongi was debating whether to let him in or not.

"It'll only take about an hour... or so.. " He mutters in a quiet voice, playing with the hem of his shirt as he looks down. He hears Yoongi sighs as the door opens widely, letting him in.

"Come in, "

The younger didn't think twice and walks inside, letting himself sit in one of the chair. He's nervous, he admits. But he really needs to talk to the elder about their relationship.

"You want to talk about something?" Yoongi asks, pulling a chair and sits infront of him. Jimin could not look into his eyes, he knows there's something wrong, and they have to talk about it. But is he really ready for what's about to come after their talk? Is he really ready for the elder's answer? He was anxious. And Yoongi must've felt it, the other puts his hand on his knee, giving it small circles of assurance.

"What is it, Jimin-ah? Come on, tell hyung what's wrong, hmm?" Yoongi's soft voice fills his ears, and at the moment. He just wants to forget about everything and just hug and kiss the elder. But he knows he couldn't, he have to do what he think was right.

"Hyung, that song... was it meant for me? For our relationship?"

And there, he sees how Yoongi freezes, almost confirming his conclusions.

"What song, Jimin?"

Jimin's eyes silently wanders around, he did not want to cry infront of Yoongi. But the way the elder says his name aches his heart.

"Seesaw.. " he mumbles, enough for the other to hear. First 5 minutes, Yoongi didn't gave him any answer. But once the elder opens his mouth, his words stabs Jimin.

"Yes.... yes, it is. That song was meant for us.. " Yoongi utters, looking away as the elder did not want to meet the younger's broken eyes.

After hearing what Yoongi said, Jimin was loss for words. And he recalls the lyrics from seesaw,

The beginning was quite fun

Just with all the ups and downs

But suddenly, we're tired

From a waste of meaningless emotions

"You... you wrote that song... thinking about relationship..?" Jimin manages to ask, voice cracking as glimmering tears wants to come down from his eyes.

His eyes met the elder's, and when Yoongi nods, he does not know what to feel anymore.

A repeating seesaw seesaw game

Now I'm sick of it, sick of it

"You're sick of me?"

Yoongi shakes his head, "No. I will never. I'm sick of our relationship. It's... it's getting toxic. We lack at communication. We're always busy. And... and i don't know, I'm... getting tired of it.. "

"You're tired of me?"

The elder looks at the younger's eyes, frustration and desperation was seen in Yoongi's eyes.

"This... this is why. We lack at everything, chim. We failed at understanding each other. I... I'm having second thoughts whether to tell you my worries or not because for me, it wasn't fair. Because instead of telling me what the problem is, you avoids me. And when I starts telling you that what you're doing is wrong, arguments follows. Can't you see? I'm your boyfriend, we're partners... is it that hard to tell me what goes in your head instead of avoiding me? That's why we can't understand each other. One word from me and you'll take it negatively. Angel, you're not toxic. Our relationship is. I'm not sick of you, I'm sick of our relationship. And I'm most definitely not tired of you, I'm tired of what we have.. "

Yoongi's words hit Jimin, the younger notices how the elder was trying really hard not to break down infront of him. And as much as Jimin wants to disagree, the elder's right. It wasn't them who's wrong. It was their relationship. It was what they have. Jimin, then, remembers what Yoongi wrote in the song.

Were the little arguments the start?

The moment I became heavier than you

Because there was never a parallel from the start

Maybe I became more greedy and tried to fit in with you

Jimin closes his eyes as he recalls the memories when the elder tries so hard to talk to him, but instead of talking, he stubbornly shuts Yoongi out.

"Hyung.... I'm... I'm sorry, " he chokes out a sob,

"You didn't do anything wrong, Jiminie. Stop crying, hmm? " Yoongi comforts him, giving him a side hug as the elder's hand circles in his shoulder.

"N-no... I'm sorry if you feel that way, I could have done better but I... but I... " Jimin sniffles in Yoongi's chest with the other, stroking his hair softly.

"And I could have done it too," Yoongi says bitterly,

Is there really need to keep repeating ourselves?

Saying this was love and this is love

We're both tired and holding onto the same card

Yes, indeed, their relationship was tiring. They were tired of it. Tired of their relationship. But neither does want to let go of the other's hand. They were tired yet they keep on holding each other's hand, not wanting to end to love they both have. But that love is too risky and blurry, considering the relationship they're in. And Jimin knows what exactly to do.

"Hyung... " Jimin calls, he hears Yoongi hums, "Let's... let's end this. Let's end our relationship. Let's break up."

Jimin's eyes flickers into Yoongi's wide ones, the elder's jaw was left open. And Jimin smiles, he knew he made the right decision. Their relationship is what tires them and he knows he should end it. Holding onto something that's alright tired is hard, indeed. And if they keep on continuing it, they will also lose themselves. Letting go was never easy, but right now, it's what they both need. They need to let go to have their separate ways... to experience what true relationship is.

Jimin pecks Yoongi's lips and smiles, "And if we're really meant to be.... then we'll make it happen again. For now, it's a goodbye. "

And even if it breaks their heart, they manage to let go of what they have. Because their love wasn't a seesaw game to keep being played. Their hearts isn't a seesaw game to keep repeating the pain.

And so, the seesaw stops, and so did their relationship.
