The sunlight burned your eyes, shining down upon you as you came to. Your head hurt, and your limbs felt numb. The world felt more colorful than you remembered. Somehow more lively and bright. So, so bright. You pushed yourself up, holding your head as you groaned in pain. Everything was blurry and your ears were ringing. People were talking... Why were there people here? You don't remember falling asleep with people around. In fact, you don't remember falling asleep at all. You blinked, looking around.

Objects. Those were objects, all staring at you with varying levels of shock and horror. A Nickel, a Bow, a Test Tube... all with legs, most with arms, and all sentient. You rubbed your eyes. They were still there. You pinched yourself. Sure enough, they were still there. This wasn't a dream. No, no this was all real. Your voice quiet and terrified, you squeaked out the first thing on your mind.

"This is awkward." Understatement of the century, (Y/N). Understatement of the fucking century.

You got up onto your feet, dizzy and disoriented. There were a lot of those objects here. Did they live here? Was this their home? It looked like an island, why did they live on an island? And why were there so many?
"...Oh. That, uh.. That was not supposed to happen." Someone spoke up. A phone, next to you. You hadn't even noticed it was there. "Well! I guess this is your challenge now! Uhh... last team to catch..." It glanced at you.

"...(Y/N), my name is (Y/N)." You mumbled.

"Last team to catch (Y/N) is up for elimination! Uhh... start running." It told you.

And so you fucking did. I mean, what else were you supposed to do? The first few moments were chaotic. You running for your damn life, while being chased by a crowd of sentient objects.

At this point, you were just running blindly. The island seemed endless, a terrifying infinite environment that you were stuck in. But your attention was drawn away by your sudden halt, as you came stumbling to the ground. You were terrified, but you weren't hurt. In fact, your landing was incredibly soft. Comfortable, even.

"Oh no- uh- are you okay-??" A soft, sweet voice sounded from underneath you. You jumped up, holding yourself up with your hands pressed against the grass. Below you, was a four-leafed clover, its face flushed pink as it looked up at you, either in shock or in awe. Your hands were pinned to either side of its head, and your legs straddled its lower body, making your position, well, not optimal.

"OH FUCK." You jumped up, rolling off of the object unceremoniously. Your cheeks burned as you flailed around, scrambling to your feet in a hurry. "I'm- I'm so sorry!"

The clover pushed itself up, seemingly speechless, as it looked over at you. Your eyes locked, and you felt the world stop around you. What was this feeling? Why was your heart beating so fast? It felt like only you two in this world, a sense of peace washing over you. It was calm.

Well, until the phone butted in. "And Clover steals the win for The NEW Thinkers! Pinkers, you're up for elimination!" It announced, basically appearing out of nowhere.

The Clover in question seemed to snap out of its daze, stumbling to its feet. "We- we won? We won! Hooray!" It cheered, putting its arms up in the air.

All the objects dispersed, some cheering and others groaning, but Clover stayed behind. Looking at you timidly, it gave you a little smile before speaking up.

"Uhm... hi!" It greeted you, the same pink covering its leaves.

You looked back, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, uhh... Hi."

A few minutes of silence passed, when it spoke up again. "My name's Clover, if you didn't... know, hahaa..." It- no, she- said awkwardly, "Mephone said your name is (Y/N), is that right?"

"Yeah, yeah it is. Is Mephone the phone guy?" You asked, Clover answering in a nod.

"Yep, that's... that's him! He's... kind of mean, haha." She giggled.

"I can tell." You laughed along with her, noticing how her face seemed to flush at the sound of your voice. Smiling, you slid your hand down her arm, grasping her hand in yours. She stuttered, her face growing more and more red by the second. It was... strangely very cute.

You grinned. "Y'know, if I never make it out of this place," You started, "at least you're here."

She tensed up, staring at you. As her body relaxed, she gave you a small smile. "Yeah, I guess so."
