From the following day onwards, I began to be attacked by children on a daily basis.

It seems that for the children in the unchanged village, my blue-silver hair, different coloured eyes and lovely appearance were enough to arouse their curiosity.

And there are only a dozen children in this village. Of course, in the parish, which unites several villages, there are several times this number, but the villages are not close enough to each other to travel back and forth easily.

It is because it is such a closed community that I, as a newcomer, was the one I wanted to get involved in.

The house I live in is one of the bigger ones in the village.

But it is a modest home for the heroes of salvation, Lyell and Maria.

It is a two-storey stone building.

Four rooms on each floor. On the ground floor there is also a dining room, living room, kitchen, bath and study.

The second floor lacks these, but instead has a balcony where laundry can be hung out for drying.

There is also an inner garden, albeit small, with a stable in one corner where two horses are tethered.

The yard was marked by the hard-trodden footprints of Lyell's training, which attested to his earnest nature.

Day after day, he must have poured his moulds here and trampled the ground.

The boundary between the garden and the street is separated by short plantings and a fence, and there is only so much that a child could go over if he wanted to.

 It's a rough measure because it's a safe village.

The children began to attack under the fence.

Until then, no children had tried to sneak in here because it was a hero's house.

I had also trained myself to avoid being seen, so the villagers never knew I was there.

Of course, the villagers knew I was there, but they hardly ever actually saw me.

Anyway, when they found out that I was a child like them, they dropped that wall of caution.

They had proudly climbed over the wall in the daytime to invite me to join them.

'Nicole-chan, let's play!'

'I found cherries on a tree on the outskirts of the village, let's go and eat them.'

'Oh no, not again! The boys talk about food all the time."

As expected, the children attacked the place where they were secretly training in magical manipulation.

The owner of the house, Lyell, is not at the mansion during the day because he has to work as a patrolman.

At the same time, Maria is also away from the house because she has church work.

Recently, she has resumed church work because I am no longer able to help her.

Of course, I can't leave the three-year-old alone in the mansion, so my servant Finia takes care of me.

Finia is also away cleaning the house at the moment.

The most important thing to remember is that you can't leave the house and the child at the same time, so you can't ask too much of them.

In the first place, normal three-year-olds don't move around as actively as I do. I should have no problem with taking my eyes off the road a little.

Reborn as a hero's daughter, the hero aims to be a hero again.Where stories live. Discover now
