Time felt like it took forever to pass, as you sat at the dining table. You'd been staring at the clock for nearly an hour, waiting for your friends to arrive. They told you they'd be there at one to celebrate your birthday with you, yet instead, as the clock hit two, they were nowhere to be seen.
"Are they still not here?" Jin asked, walking into the kitchen, grabbing himself a glass of water.
"No," you whispered, if your voice got any louder you knew it would break. "I can't believe they've done this."
Jin came over, wrapping his arms around you. "If they haven't shown up love, then they aren't real friends. We can still enjoy your birthday, just the two of us."
"Well I wouldn't want you to stand me up too."
"I would never jagi," he replied, kissing the top of your head, "how about we head into town, go to that restaurant you've always wanted to try?"
You spun around to face him, "really? You would do that for me?"
"Of course, now, turn that frown upside down, we've got the rest of your day to celebrate you." You nodded, kissing his lips sweetly.
"Thanks, Jin, you really are the best boyfriend ever."

The two of you sat in the restaurant, staring out of the window. You'd nearly exhausted the bar from drinks in the time you'd taken waiting for your two best friends to show up. Tonight, was the night, they were finally going to meet Yoongi, the boy you've told them all about.
"I'm beginning to get the feeling they are not coming," Yoongi announced after finishing his fifth glass of beer.
You didn't want to admit it, but all the signs were clear. "I'm sorry, tonight has just been awful. I can't believe they've done this to me."
"It's not your fault," he assured, "we've still had a nice evening together, I can meet your friends another time."
"But you should have met them tonight, I'm so disappointed in them."
Yoongi kissed the top of your head, "your friends will realize their mistakes and apologize, maybe they just forgot, you know how busy everyone has been recently, give them the benefit of the doubt, for me."
