Chapter 2: The Encounter

Luke is walking the streets of Tokyo through a fruit market trying to get to the nightclub as one of his old contacts hangs out there a lot. His hood is down as the weather has calmed and enjoys the cool air against his face as he hears an early twenties daughter questioning her father why they're out in the fruit market soon late.

Luke chuckles quietly to himself as he can relate to a certain extent. He arrives at the nightclub to see his contact Jun being tossed out of the club, Luke raises his brow keeping his hands in his jacket's pocket.

Luke (Japanese): "what'd you do to piss them off this time?" He asks sarcastically getting Jun's attention as he gets to his feet.

Jin (Japanese): "none of your business hāfu, what brings to these parts?" He asks as Luke slowly walks up to him.

Luke (Japanese): "I need to make some... Purchases." He says as Jun chuckles to himself.

Jun (Japanese): "the women you're looking for are in there stud." He says with Luke slapping him in the face.

Luke (Japanese): "not that you idiot." He says as Jun rubs his cheek and motions him to follow him.

Jun (Japanese): "should I even ask?"

Luke (Japanese): "Best you don't, I need something for mid to close range, both reliable and accurate." He says as they walk into Jun's shop as they head to the back room.

Jun (Japanese): "well... There's the HK 416, FN SCAR." He says as Luke looks at the fine rifles but notices an odd one.

Luke (Japanese): "the hell is this?" He asks as Jun grabs the rifle.

Jun (Japanese): "this is the Howa type 20, new kid on the block if you will, 5.56×45mm, 650 rate of fire so not the fastest shooter but more than reliable." He says as Luke holds the rifle getting a feel for it as he pulls back on the charging handle opening up the ejector port.

Luke (Japanese): "and this replaced the SCAR and the 416?" He asks sort of impressed as Jun nods.

Jun (Japanese): "weapon of future, now... Pay up." He says holding out his hand as Luke gives him some yen. "Enjoy her." He says as Luke nods leaving the gun in a duffle bag and heads to the docking port the umbrella mentioned.

Luke climbs up a ladder to get a better view of the docking port and uses a pair of binoculars identifying who's Nighthaven and who isn't. Luke's eyes begin feeling fatigued as he rubs them trying to keep himself awake.

Luke: "kuso..." He says to himself soon getting his bearings and looks through the binoculars again but he finds Ace there. "well if it isn't my lucky day." He says getting an idea as he checks his duffle bag determining what he can use.

Luke climbs down with the ladder and sneaks up to a crate while putting his hood and facemask up.

Luke (mind): "sabotage the ship so these guys can't escape but no harming innocents." He thinks to himself as he sneaks past some people and gets onto the ship as he takes his time moving deeper into the ship sabotaging various things so that the ship won't be able to leave by tomorrow night.

He eventually arrives at the engine room and begins damaging it but he hears a gun cocked behind him.

Ace: "easy now, don't wanna do something stupid now." He says aiming his pistol at Luke, who he doesn't realize it's him. Luke puts his hands up and remains silent for a few seconds.

Luke (Norwegian): "Funny seeing you here Haugland, or should I call you bastard?" He asks turning around as Ace raises brow.

Ace (Norwegian): "have we met before?" He asks as Luke is glad seeing that he doesn't recognize him yet.
