Chapter 22

Lisa's POV 

"Nervous?" Jisoo nudged my shoulder 

We are already on the stage but all the lights were off for the crowd not see us. We still need to do a technical check, we want our performance to be perfect. 

"Yes." I admitted 

Seulgi signaled to one of the technical committees that we are ready. This is it. 

"Ladies and gentlemen, Like Boys Do!" Rose shouted as the spotlight turned to us

What the fuck? Is that the name of their band? We were practicing for weeks and I just learned their band's name.

"Ooh-hoo boy
Ooh-hoo boy
Ooh-hoo boy (Boys)
Ooh-hoo boy" 

Jisoo said that we should start our performance with this song, at first I didn't understand why but now I know. This song is the life of their band. This song symbolizes their beloved band.

I scanned the crowd to see my favorite girl. She was there, watching us, alone. Where is Kai? He should be accompanying Jennie but where is he? The audacity of him leaving her. But, whatever, at least Jennie's attention is all on me.

With all of the people in the crowd, she stands out. Yup, my eyes are biased. The loud cheers from the crowd has nothing to say to the loud and fast beat of my heart when our eyes met. How I love to stare at her beautiful and shining eyes.

I blew a flying kiss to her that made the audience wild, her eyes widen in surprise but she recovered with a sweet smile. The camera focused on her and her majestic beauty flashed on the huge LED screen beside the stage. How can she be so beautiful? 

I'm slowly becoming a different person while performing. Tonight, I am a brave Lisa that will shout to the world how much I love this lady that stands out among the crowd, this lovely lady who is cheering for me.

The crowd really loved our songs. They were cheering for us which hyped us up.

We came to the last song that we prepared. It wasn't a song that is typical to end performance but we don't care, this song is for the girl I love.

Seulgi was the one who sang the first line. The crowd went wild again upon hearing a different voice.

I removed the mic from the stand and readied myself for my turn.

I looked at the crowd and my heart melted seeing how they are enjoying our performance but that was soon replaced by annoyance when I saw the girl I love with her boyfriend.

I started to run out of breath but that doesn't stop me. I will enjoy this night. When I looked at Jennie again, I automatically frown when I saw them arguing and the next thing that happen was Kai left but Jennie doesn't care at all and continued to watch us.

Seulgi and I duet the last part of the song. 

I couldn't stop myself from running down the stage and engulfing the girl I love in a tight embrace. I don't care anymore if they are watching us. I want to make Jennie feel how much I love her because all the song I sang was for her only.

"You did great, Lili." She snuggled her face against the crook of my neck "I'm so proud of you."

"I did great because you're here, you supported me. You're my source of strength." I kissed her forehead 

I won't regret this night.
