(Lights required: Totally black outside but the street light is on)
It's around 9 o'clock in the evening but Viviane is not yet home. Her father was so worried and very tired driving his pedicab. However, when Mang Luis reach their home he feel relief because he finally rest his body. Mang Luis is 40 years old but he looks like 60's.
He walked towards the door of their house and opened it slowly. Then, he goes inside. He sat on the wooden chair. And suddenly, he was thinking about his daughter and then Mang Luis put his fist on his chest and massaging it slowly because it's aching. He slowly turned his head at the small table beside him. There's a small photo with frame on it. Mang Luis and his wife, Amy.
MANG LUIS: "Mahal, mukang hindi ko maaalagan ang anak natin. Kung sana narito ka sa
aking tabi na gumagabay sa kanya hindi siya nahihirapan sa buhay na mayroon kami.
Bakit kaba kasi sumama sa iba? Minahal kita ng walang pag-aalinlangan pero hindi pa rin
pala sapat ang lahat." Mang Luis began crying. All of a sudden, Mang Luis was thinking about
the past.
<FLASHBACK> (Lights required: Faded Brown)
AMY: "Luis pwede ba tumigil ka sa kadramahan mo! Si Aaron ang mahal ko at hindi ikaw!" Amy shouted angrily while Aaron watching them. In the other hand, Viviane is sitting at the floor and crying out loud.
MANG LUIS: "Pero Amy kasal tayo." He said.
AMY: "Wala akong pake at isa pa sa akin mapupunta si Viviane!" She grab Viviane's arm
hardly and tight. Viviane stand up quickly.
MANG LUIS: "Sige kung iyan ang gusto mo Amy. Papayagan kitang sumama sa Aaron na
yan!" Emphasizing 'Aaron' while pointed him. Aaron is smiling evily. "Pero sa isang kondisyon Amy." Mang Luis turned his gaze at Amy. Amy remains quiet.
AMY: "At ano naman ang kondisyon na iyan?" She asked irritated.
MANG LUIS: "Iwanan mo sa akin si Viviane." He replied smoothly. Viviane was shocked
because she expected that her parents are not going to be separated. Mang Luis grabbed his
daughter from Amy.
AMY: "Okay. 'Yang kutong lupa lang pala na bata ang katapat mo." She was laughing like a demon. Viviane wants to go to her mom but her father stopped her. She was tightly hugging by
her dad's arm. Her mom walks toward Aaron. "Let's go" she said to Aaron. Aaron saluted and
winked to Mang Luis before they get inside the tricycle.
<END OF FLASHBACK>
As time goes by Mang Luis was crying horribly. He also remembered about his daughter's 18th Birthday.
MANG LUIS: "Bukas na ang debut ng anak natin mahal ko. Sa-sana okay lang sa kanya na
hindi ko maisasakatuparan ang mga birthday wish ng anak natin mahal k...." He said
through the picture and he was sobbing hardly while hugging it. After crying Mang Luis fell
asleep in the wooden chair.
