Ric was in a machine, he was being tested to see if there were any mental problems. Brought I guess because of there ring....
"When did you suspect it was Alaric?" I asked
"It was after he told me about his ring. I remembered a story my grandmother had told me about Samantha Gilbert and her secret journal. I don't know if you know this, but we Fells, are notorious busybodies" she said
"Then why did you protect him?" I asked
"Because I'm a doctor. I don't like to see someone hurt by something they have no control over. And because when he and I first met, I felt like, I don't know, I...I just kind of want to help him" she said
Then I think the machine started to make wrong sounds. Did Ric need help?
"Is everything alright in there?" she asked
"Yeah, yeah everything's ok" he said

"Yeah, well, everything is normal. Because there's nothing wrong with me. I didn't kill Brian Walters, I didn't kill Bill Forbes, and I sure as hell didn't shove a hunting knife into my stomach" said Ric, he paused "Or I did, and I've gone insane. Just like your ancestor who wore that ring"
"I'll call Bonnie. The ring was made by a Bennett witch. Maybe she can reverse the bad parts" I said
"Take it. I don't want it anymore" said Ric, handing me his ring, I got it
"Ready to ditch this house of horrors? Oof, terrible" said Damon, coming in
"Yeah. Let me--Let me check out of here" said Ric

We were getting out, and Damon was helping, but joking at the same time
"Stop it, Damon! Ok? Just stop! This isn't something to joke about! You literally made Stefan drink from an innocent girl. Yes, he's a vampire, and yes, he has thirst control troubles, but he was able to control it just fine when he was drinking my blood just a little about every day" I said
"Yeah, that's when you guys were in love, and it was all rainbows and unicorns" said Damon
"Well, I guess you're just not the right person to teach Stefan self control" I said, and got in the car

I went to see Stefan, who was during himself a glass of blood "Hey"
"Hey" he said
"Damon said no one was home, I just came to get this book of my ancestor's" I said
"That's fine" he said
"How are you doing, by the way?" I asked
"I'm fine. Did you get everything you need?" he asked
"Yeah. Let me know if you need any help" I said, and was about to go away when....
"You don't have to read that, you know. I can just tell you what happened. Samantha Gilbert was committed to an insane asylum. She tried to give herself a lobotomy with a knitting needle, and bled to death on the floor of her cell. If the same thing is happening to Alaric, then theres....nothing you can do" he said
