The two women went back downstairs to join the party.

"Can I have Miss Beau to the stage, please?" the man said into the microphone. Briar had almost completely forgot that she volunteered to sing for the Ball.

Julia encouraged her to come up on stage. Briar looked back at her for reassurance, Julia nodded and Briar stepped onto the stage. Soon enough another girl came onto the stage, it was Carolyn but Briar didn't know that.

They both grabbed a microphone as the music started.

 Everyone stood in shock and then cheered as she went on. Julia was blushing as she put her elbow on the table, and balanced her head in her hand. She sighed dreamily as she stared at Briar.

As the song came to a end, Briar and Carolyn went down the stairs. Julia walked over to Briar and smiled, "You were amazing up there, I'm guessing you didn't see all the men falling for you literally " She giggled and gave Briar a kiss on the cheek. 
"Wait, did that actually happen?" She said giggling.
