I know I should be jealous watching another guy flirt with my girlfriend, but I'm not. Which is definitely a problem. It's not like I like someone else. Not really. Sure, I liked Jacquie for a while. But that was small, and I got over it pretty quickly. Because I have an amazing girlfriend. But after liking Jacquie, she was less amazing. I don't know, maybe Jacquie just opened my eyes to the fact that Richelle isn't perfect. Or maybe we've just been dating too long for me to still be into her. All I know is that I'm slowly falling out of love with her. And slowly getting better at hiding it.

Honestly, I just want to tell someone how I'm feeling. Get someone else's opinion. But no one would understand. I don't want to break up with her. But I also don't really want to stay together anymore. I'm trying to just focus on dance. And not on my slowly failing relationship.

"Ok dancers, gather round" Emily announces. We stand in a semi circle around her. I end up next to Jacquie, who smiles at me before facing Emily. Ok. So maybe I do have a small crush on Jacquie. But I don't want to be the kind of guy who cheats on his girlfriend.

"Today we're choosing our dance captain!" Emily smiles, clapping her hands together. "Woohoo" West cheers as the rest of us talk excitedly. "And by we I mean me and West" Emily says, silencing everyone. "And by choosing, I mean we've already chosen." "And we've chosen..." West begins a drumroll. "Richelle!" Emily announces, smiling. Richelle squeals softly, then runs over and hugs Emily. Emily actually squeezes back for a moment, before pushing her away. Richelle hugs West instead and that went on for a really long time because West just wouldn't let go. In the end Richelle squirmed out of his grip. "You mean it?" she asks Emily. "No test, no vote, I just have it." "You just have it" Emily nods. I don't think I've ever seen her smile this much. "Everyone give your new dance captain a round of applause" West says. We do, but it's slightly reluctant on most people's parts. I clap loudly though. Even if I don't really like her that much anymore, she deserves this. She's wanted it for years and she works harder than anyone else I know.

As Richelle accepts Ozzy's over the top congratulations, I turn to Jacquie. She rolls her eyes. "Well that was dramatic" she sighs. "Yeah, but Richelle deserves it. She's wanted it for years" I say. "Yeah. We should celebrate tonight" Jacquie says excitedly. "You in?" "Sure" I shrug. "Hey Richelle, movie night at mine to celebrate?" Jacquie asks. "Sure" Richelle says, breaking out of Henry's hug and coming over to us. "Great" Jacquie smiles. "You're all invited, guys" she announces to the studio, then walks over to talk to Lola. "Well done babe" I smile, hugging Richelle. Unlike everyone else though, I actually let go of her after a reasonable amount of time. "Thanks" she smiles. "You're going to do great. We'll have a regionals victory in no time" I joke, squeezing her arm. She smiles and leans up on tip toe to kiss my cheek. "You want to grab shakes before Jacquie's party?" I ask. "Yeah, that would be great" she grins. "But I've to talk to Emily and West now, and then we've rehearsals." "Oh yeah, of course. But afterwards, right?" "Definitely. Talk later. Love you." "Love you too" I lie, guilt washing over me as we finish our conversation.
