Imagine being the only one able to calm Jack down when he's enraged. (Scenario #1)

Setting: Jack is crumpled on the floor after his struggle with Baldwin. You make your way down stairs and see what's happening. You get down on the floor with him.

You: (Softly) Jack?

Jack: DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!

You: I promise I won't touch you. Jack look at me, look at me Jack.

Jack: I don't want to hurt you.

You: You're not going to hurt me Jack. Look at me.

His gaze meets yours, the softness in your eyes seems to always comfort him.

You: It's alright Jack.

You offer him your hand. He takes it and you help him up. You put your arms around him and hug him tightly, rubbing his back in soothing way.

You: (softly) It's alright.
