n/d/h - non-dominant hand

I am so sorry guys. I've been procrastinating on this and I tried to make this as long as I could. I promised I would update and I finally have. Oh my god this was torture to write. I really, REALLY, hope you guys enjoy this.

After being pulled out of the TV by Six, Mono and I fell onto the floor. As I slowly rose from the cold tiled floor, I finally noticed all the prosthetic body parts around us. We were definitely in a hospital. And a large one, at that. Six grabbed my hand and followed Mono as he headed to the right. I watched as Six went into a box and Mono pulled the lever, quickly following after. I smiled a little bit sadly. I hate to admit it... but I was a little jealous.

I headed into the next room as quiet as a mouse. When I stepped in, I was met with a bunch of odd looking stuffed animals and scribbled up drawings. It reminded me of before this happened.

Mono silently came in behind me. "We should probably explore more," Mono said, resting a hand on my shoulder like he once did before. I could only nod my head in response, still lost in my thoughts. (I'm in a poetic mood rn so sorry for the rhymes) I followed him and Six as we walked into the giant elevator. This took us to what looked like an incinerator room. I quickly went back to the elevator as the others followed. "What?" Six asked quickly. "I remember seeing an x-ray of a teddy bear that had a key in it that could be useful later," I replied, a little too quickly. I didn't want to tell them, but the truth was...I remembered living here. A long time ago, but there's no time for that now.

~Timeskip to when you open the door~

Once Mono unlocked the door with the key we found prior, we quietly stepped into the eerily dark room with only a light at the end of the hall. Mono pulled out his flashlight to make sure we didn't hit anything. I looked around at all the prosthetic arms and legs hanging around us and the patient on the bed. I looked down at my (n/d/h), grimace on my face as I sighed at the sight of it. It sickened me what the doctor did to us. Looking at all the prosthetics I couldn't help but stop in my tracks, and remember what he did to me.

It was pouring rain outside. The tall buildings that seemed to dance and sway menacingly loomed over my feeble figure. Through the rain and misty streets I could see an open window which seemed to be sheltered from the rain. I sighed in relief and climbed through it. Inside, it was darker than a pitch black night, save for the dim ceiling lights flickering every so often. I walked down the dark halls, slightly shaking—from paranoia or the cold of my drenched clothes, I couldn't tell.

After what seemed like forever of walking, I thought I felt something watching me. I quickly spun around only to see...nothing. I was completely alone. At least that's what I thought. I felt something grab my small form and pull me from the ground. I looked up to see a face hanging upside down from the ceiling. I struggled to break free from his grip but I couldn't. I was soon put into a glass jar as he crawled on the ceiling and grabbed surgical tools. I tried my best to knock the glass over or do anything but to no avail. He soon came back and pulled me out of the jar. Before I knew it, my n/d/h was cut off with one swift motion as I screamed in agony. Then everything went black.

When I woke up, I was in a dark room. I quickly looked at my arm only to realize...it wasn't mine. It was a prosthetic. I remember running and trying to leave as quickly as I could. I remember getting stuck in the school, and ending up in the forest.

God...I never wanted to feel that again.

My thoughts were soon cut off as I felt someone shaking me by my shoulders. I blinked as the memory soon faded out of my vision and I was back in the hospital. "Snap out of it!" I heard a voice all too familiar yell. I quickly looked forward to see Mono shaking me. I couldn't see his face, but I could tell he was worried. "Are you okay? You've been spaced out. I-I've been trying to snap you out of it for a while now," he said, his voice shaking a bit as he spoke. I put my hand on his shoulder as his palms still rested on mine. "I'm okay," I said. My voice was barely above a whisper and sounded just like when we met. Mono didn't sound too convinced but he hugged me while whispering a few words only I could hear into my ear. "If you ever want to tell me, I'm here to listen."

I nodded, slightly smiling, as he pulled away from the hug. (I kind of needed this comfort💮)

Mono and I quickly walked through the room, to a halfway place where Six stood waiting by a door. "I'll give you guys a boost. Just...be careful. Please," she warned. I smiled at her concern, hugging her before she helped Mono and I get through the window. "We need to find the power cells," he said as I followed him. We walked through a room filled with prosthetics and lit by only one light, hand over a table where a lifeless patient laid.

As Mono and I pushed a box out the way to get through a hole, the hand started moving as it dived into the pile of prosthetic hands & legs. We quickly ran across the room, trying to avoid it to the best of our abilities.

Timeskip to after the fight bc i'm lazy af lol

We were soon cornered by 2 hands that crawled on the floor around us. I quickly jumped up onto the table to escape from their grasps, seeing as Mono had already grabbed a giant hammer. I grabbed the first cell as Mono smashed the first hand. As he was smashing it for the last time, the other hand quickly crawled near him. I couldn't help but yell "Behind you!" as I threw anything, in this case a piece of rubble. This gave Mono enough time to put the final blow on the other hand. "Thanks" he huffed out between his panting breaths. "No problem," I smiled. Mono then smashed the window of the door as we crawled out. "Couldn't we have just thrown a hand to smash it?" He chuckled at this. "Probably." "That would have saved so much work!" I whined dramatically. He then gave me a side hug. I shouldn't have felt this way but it makes me happy. It makes me happy he cares.

My brain soon went into autopilot as my thoughts seemed to spiral in my head. I shouldn't feel this way. HE shouldn't feel this way. And if he does feel this way he has Six. He'll leave me. I know it. I know it. I know it! I KNOW IT! Tears soon threatened to fall from my eyes as I put the power cell into the door. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Mono put a hand on my shoulder, "You don't have to come with me if it's upsetting you." I shook my head. "No, I'm coming with you." I was slightly shaking but I was trying to be strong. I can't seem weak. Not now. He nodded but he seemed weary. Six, yet again, lifted us into the room. The room was pretty empty other than a lever, a ceiling light, and the prosthetic standing in the way. Suddenly, the lights started flickering more. The prosthetic slowly twitched when the lights went out. Soon, the light bulb burst and we were left in darkness. Nothing could be heard except the sound of our hitched breathing and then...

Footsteps. Rapid footsteps. Mono turned on the flashlight and in front of us, only a few steps away, was the prosthetic monster. At least now we knew how they worked. Mono kept his light on the prosthetic until we got through the door. Then he turned around, grabbed my hand, and ran a little farther. I looked behind us and it suddenly froze in the light behind the gate. It was unnerving, yet comforting as it couldn get us.
