I looked up seeing my mom staring at me as she sung. I quickly put my phone back in my pocket because I knew I'd get in trouble.

I walked into my dads office seeing my mom on her phone. She looked annoyed so I quickly turned to leave the room.

"You okay baby?" She asked before I could walk back out

"Uh yes. I was looking for daddy. You okay?" I said standing by where she was sitting

She pulled me into a side hug. "Im good as long as you are. And He's in a meeting hun. We'll probably be here a minute. What did you need?."

"I was gonna ask if I could go with Mya and Jaliyah for a little while but Nevermind I guess." I said sitting next to her

I was always supposed to ask my dad when I wanted to go out, my mom usually just says ask him.
