Matthew 5:6 AMPC - "Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa. 55:1, 2.]"
I love the amplified version. I just recently came back to it, I had forgotten all about it. In the other versions, when you compare, it says that those who thirst for Justice will be satisfied. The amplified version as you see above is so much more in depth. Like you seek, hunger, and thirst for justice, you are blessed, fortunate, happy, and spiritually prosperous.
Like how amazing is that!
We must remember always to seek, hunger, and thirst for ALL things that are pleasing to God and will contribute in number in our spiritual lives. We MUST only feed the spirit, but I know it's hard because of the world today and us being human beings full of flesh, it's not easy. Sometimes we feed the flesh, but the moment we realize it and repent and get back on track, the lesser it will become.
Remember you are NEVER alone.
