Chapter 9

They continued having dinner with each other talking, laughing and joking around. Elia feels relaxed a little bit around them and most of the time she was talking with Rose with her billion questions. Not that Elia didn't like it, she finds it amusing even, So, that's why she kept entertaining Rose while the adults were having their own conversations.

Once they finished eating, Rose drags Elia to go to this piano area not far from the table with the others. There's literally no one in the restaurants except for the worker because Lizzie booked the whole restaurant to give them privacies.

"Could you play the piano?" Rose asks sitting next to her in the piano stool given

"Yeah. a little bit though" Elia replied

"Could you play it for me?" Rose asks sweetly

"Of course, I can but I'm not sure if I'm still good though. I haven't played any instruments in so long" Elia said, getting ready to play the piano.

"What song do you want?" Elia asks

"Anything you can!" Rose replied excitedly, making Elia chuckles. She started playing 'River Flows in You by Yiruma'. The adults snapped their attention to the music coming from the kid's direction and were awed when they saw Elia playing the piano perfectly well.

"She could play piano?" Lizzie asks smiling

"More like she nailed it" Evans said in awed and stunned

"She could play everything" Mackie replied making Lizzie, Scarlett and Evans look at him

"Isa and Lia always play instruments together, they dance for fun together too. And she could sing perfectly well too. That girl is talented" Mackie added.

"Well, I gotta see Isaac's youtube channel when we get back home" Lizzie said.

There're so many things they still don't know what's going on in her life. And they will have a lot of things to catch up with.

"She spends most of her time studying though. 7 days a week because of her foster parents. They sign her up for every academic class making her have her target that she should get straight A+ just to abandon her like that. She was supposed to have fun like the other teenagers did. but instead, she was in her room studying her ass off to fulfill her foster parents' wishes" Lizzie said sadly looking at the direction of Elia and Rose

"Straight A+?" everyone that just met her today said in unison

"That's our reaction the first time she told us" Sebastian said

"Damn, she's genius" Holland said

"You've got one good kid Lizzie. I say this because I've seen the look in her eyes every time she looks at you. she's pretty fond of you and you are her whole world" Susan Downey said

"She's my whole world too even in our short amount of time knowing each other" Lizzie said, smiling.

Elia's finished play the piano and then Rose come running excitedly

"DID YOU SEE THAT? ELIA COULD PLAY THE PIANO. SHE SO GOOD" Rose yells excitedly making everyone chuckle at that little girl. Elia trails behind Rose and then sits beside her mother. Lizzie smiles at her daughter and then kisses her forehead.

"I see that. we heard that too" Evans said picking Rose up and let her sit on his lap

"What else could you play?" Renner asks

"Just basic instrument" Elia replied shrugging

"Such as?" Zoe asks

"Guitar, drum, piano" Elia listed
