HAPPINESS I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR

Chapter 4

After their lunch, Elia is now with Lizzie on their way to her 'workplace'. Elia still kinda awkward knowing what they do for a living.
"everything's gonna be just fine Elia. You've met them already" Lizzie said noticing Elia being quiet.
"but there's more people. What if they look at me weirdly because I don't know how to interact properly?" Elia said
"they won't sweetie. They understand" Lizzie said chuckling.
Then they pull up at the parking lot. Elia look around there was studios surround them.
"come on" Lizzie said holding her hand out for Elia to reach out. Elia took Lizzie hand. She took it. Elia, the one who doesn't like human contact, she took Lizzie hand without hesitation.
Lizzie brought Elia to the cast, they were currently sitting at some sort of café for them to take a break, eating their lunch, dinner or whatever.
Evans was the first one to see Elia and Lizzie approaching them
"hey! There's my favorite champ!" Evans said waving at Elia excitedly making Elia blushing when all of the attention was now on her.
"she's hiding behind Lizzie!" Scarlett said approaching them and then Elia immediately melt into Scarlett embrace.
Wow, this people done a lot to her. Elia thought to herself.
Elia then just waving at them. Luckily, it's just the people who she has already met.
They immediately greet Elia, makes her feel welcome. Chit chatting with her.
After an hour of chit chatting, Lizzie was called to do her make-up and change to her costume. So, she was left with Scarlett, Evans, RDJ, Renner and Sebastian.
Then, Elia's phone goes off. It was unknown number. She was frowning when it shows unknown number because nobody knows her number except for Lizzie and Isaac.
"what's wrong?" Scarlett asks notices her frowning
"um it's unknown number? The people who knows my number are Lizzie and Isaac and my team manager" Elia said
"3 people? That's it? kid, you need to get our number" Renner said
"put it on speaker" RDJ told her and she did that.
"Miss Eliana Edward?" the voices from the phone said once she accepted the call. Elia kinda surprised when the caller says her full name and so the others. They don't know her full name because Elia just introduced herself just 'Elia'
"may I know who's speaking?" Elia said
"pardon me for not introducing myself. We are from Mercedes- Benz team for F4. I'm Brandon Quill. The team manager" Brandon as he introduces himself speaking. Elia eyes widen, she looks at the others who watching her intently
"yes?" Elia said
"we would like to sponsors you. we see your talent, your potential. We are very interested in you and we have come to decision to sponsors you till you're 16 years old" Brandon said
Elia stands up with mouth agape. She was excited. She looks at the others who were astounded with her too. They were smiling widely at her but then she remembered about her sponsors offer with Isaac team, Ferrari.
"um, could I call you back for the confirmation? I need to discuss this with my um family first" Elia said scrunching her faces. Not that she has to talk with the Drew's. they didn't care either.
"of course, we already sent you the email and you already have my number. Anything just calls me." Brandon said
"okay. Thank you" Elia said and hung up. She sighs sitting down
"why? What's wrong?" RDJ asks
"Ferrari already offered me. And then Mercedes- Benz. I don't know which one to accept. They both great" Elia said.
"it's your choice kid. I know you'll do great in whatever team you chose" RDJ said
"but I've never got any chance to make any decision" Elia mumbled quietly but again, everyone heard it. they felt sorry for that young girl.
"do you want us helping you choosing?" Scarlett asks softly
"we're not gonna tell you what to pick but we gonna help you choose. So, you can make your own decision. How's that sound?" Scarlett added and the others agree with what Scarlett just said.
"can we wait for Lizzie?" Elia asks smiling at them
"of course," they said and then once again her phone goes off, unknown number.
"wow kid. You're famous" Sebastian teases but Elia playfully rolled her eyes
"Eliana, John and I are on outstation. Won't be back till Wednesday" Lily said once when Elia pick it up and put it on speaker and hung up just like that making Elia regrets putting it on speaker because the adults heard the whole thing and they were concerned.
They were tense silent, Elia just stare at her phone not doing anything. She used to it though but she's not used to the concerned face everyone gives her right now.
"I'm used to it. it's fine guys" Elia started. They were about to open their mouth to argue but Lizzie came
"I'm back" Lizzie said standing behind Elia putting her hands-on Elia shoulders.
"Lizzie! I've got another offer for my sponsors" Elia said facing Lizzie
"you did? From who?" Lizzie asks excitedly
"Mercedes- Benz" Elia said grinning
"that's good Elia!" Lizzie said
"but I need help on which one should I choose" Elia said innocently and Lizzie smiles to herself
"of course, I'll help you, the others will help you too though because I kinda have 5% of knowledge about this because you keep on rambling about that" Lizzie said chuckling but Elia taken aback by her 'rambling'
"oh, I'm sorry. I don't know what else to talk about. You should've told me though" Elia said guiltily looking down at her feet
"what? No Elia! Thanks to you I've got 5% of knowledge about F4" Lizzie immediately said
"you sure?" Elia asks still looking down at her feet
"now, what have we discuss about in the car? I'll never get bored with you talking Elia" Lizzie said lifting her chin up.
Elia just nods her head and was about to say 'I'm sorry' but Lizzie put her hand on her mouth immediately because she knows what Elia was about to say.
"can I go to the toilet?" Elia asks
"yeah. it's over there" Lizzie said pointing at the toilet signs and Elia makes her way there.
"her foster mother call her. She told Elia they are on outstation and hung up just like that" Sebastian said. Lizzie was surprised
"and she said she used to it. not to mention, she didn't save her foster mother number." Evans added
"poor girl" Lizzie said sighing looking at the direction where Elia gone to
"do you know her names is Eliana Edward?" Scarlett asks trying to ease the tension in the air.
"I don't. how did you guys know?" Lizzie asks kinda surprised hearing her names for the first time
"the team manager from Mercedes- Benz accidentally call her that" Renner said
"beautiful names. Beautiful girl. Suits her well" Lizzie said smiling to herself.
Then, Elia came back to them with smiles on her face
"okay, why are you smiling at me?" Elia asks Lizzie
"So, Eliana Edward huh?" Lizzie asks teasingly. They sworn they saw Elia face drop
"please call me Elia. I don't like Eliana because it feels like Lily calling me" Elia said making everyone froze. Suddenly feel guilty bringing up that subject.
"and I don't even know my middle name" Elia said quietly
"you don't know? How come?" Evans asks. Everyone was giving him a death glare for asking that.
"my entire life, I've never known my middle name because nobody cares to tell me. I don't even know whether I have one or not. Um I was abandoned when I was a baby. The orphanage headmistress found me in the dumpster and took me in. I lived in different foster care since then but they never cared about me. I can't even call them my family. I don't have any parental figure in my life.  That's why I don't do well with human contact, I have social anxiety and trust issues. Because I never had any affection given in my life until I met Isaac and I met you guys. You guys somehow make me feel safe even we just know each other for 3/ 4 days. And I kinda feels these weird feelings when I'm with you guys. It's a good weird feeling not the bad kind. And that's why now I'm rambling about my sad life to you guys and you guys have to heard about it. I'm so sorry I'm bored you to death" Elia said quickly after she pouring her heart out at them.
The others were kinda holding their tears back at the young girl.
"it's fine Elia. We want to know you. we just don't want to make you uncomfortable when we ask the question so, we wait until you ready to tell us that. so, thank you for trusting us to tell your story." Lizzie said holding her hands squeeze it.
"and hey, not everyone has perfect life story" Evans said smiling at Elia.
"but I somehow feels grateful a little bit because I got to grow up and make it as lesson for me for the future" Elia replied positively
"you sure you're 14?" Scarlett said in awed looking at how mature she is. They all stunned at her maturity. Elia just chuckles at her.
"hey, I could go home with uber if you're busy. I'm sure you have to do your work" Elia said turning to Lizzie
"what? No young lady. I'll sent you home. You're not taking uber. And you're staying with me till dinner. I'll sent you home after I make sure you eat your dinner" Lizzie said in her 'mom' voice without realizing.
"sheesh, yes mom" Elia said chuckling and froze immediately when she realizes she called Lizzie 'mom'. Lizzie was smirking to herself. She likes it.
"I'm sor- "Elia said
"nope. I'm your mom. So, you have to listen to me" Lizzie said smirking.
Well it's feels nice to have a mom. Elia didn't realize she said that out loud
Everyone was kinda sorry to that young girl. She's been through so much but she still has the maturity, her sense, her politeness.
Scarlett also notice something about Lizzie.
"come on squirt, we gonna have fun today while the girls filming their scenes" Evans said standing up holding out his hand for Elia to reach out which she gladly took.

Elia didn't realise that she called Lizzie 'mom' and Lizzie take that 'role' perfectly fine 😏. This gonna be a rollercoaster mood for sure! Buckle up guyssssss
