As they pulled up to the packhouse, the car was surrounded by everyone. Cheers and claps were all around. Everyone was happy to see their Alpha back. Sybil and August got out of the car, and many of the pack members engulfed them into a giant group hug.

"Make way! The princess of the pack needs to see her daddy!" Margot yelled. Everyone moved out of the way, and as soon as she saw her father, Myah ran as fast as she could and jumped into his arms. Margot pulled Sybil into a hug.

"I'm glad to see your stupid face." She said.

"Such a warm greeting. I guess I'm glad you're not dead also. Good job holding the pack together." She said, patting her on the back.

"Why are you crying, baby?" August asked Myah as he wiped away her tears. She hiccuped through her words.

"I- I'm happy y-y-you didn't d-die. That m-mean m-man s-s-said you w-w-would d-die." She cried.

"No one will ever take me away from you, understand. I love you."

"I love you more." she hugged him tightly. His mother and father were the last to hug the two.

"Your aunt called. Young lady, what do you have to say for yourself? Hurting innocent people who were just trying to help you. I am disappointed in you. Luckily no one got seriously hurt. And you young man, how dare you just go off into a trap, knowing that man wanted to hurt you. you could have died." Bria smacked both of them.

"Huh, so that's what getting scolded by a loving mother feels like. It's kinda nice." Sybil smiled. Everyone looked at her in shock.

"Did you just smile unprovoked?" Margot asked. Sybil laughed at her, which caught everyone off guard again.

"How hard did they hit you?" Max asked. She playfully smacked him.

"I just realized life is too short, and I should express more. Would it be better for everyone if I went back to my old self?" She joked. Everyone shook their heads."I thought so, so Bria, what did you cook? I've been starving since we left your sister's house. That woman can cook, but not as good as you." She started walking towards the house. Everyone just shook their head at her.

"So you're taking time off?" Max asked her.

"Yeah, we stopped by the Order on our way here. I explained it all to Bane. He seems very happy about the fact. I think he smiled. Which makes me think he is glad to have me gone. As a particular wolf pointed out, I need some rest. I mean, why not stay here. I can still train with the wolves, and I can eat like a King because Bria is an amazing cook." She explained.

"I'll miss you at the compound," Max said.

"Don't get all mushy on me Dean; you can always come here. You better show all of those pompous a**holes whose boss while I'm gone." She smiled. " I really appreciate you, Max, you never gave up on me. You're a great friend."

"Since everything is good here, I'll be leaving. I'll be back in a few weeks," he said. She hugged him before he walked out.

She closed the door behind her and heard Myah call her name.

"Can you tuck me in Sybil?" She asked.

"Of course. Come on." Sybil helped her get into bed and pulled the blanket over her shoulders. She gave Myah a small kiss. August stood by the door and watched.

"I love you, Sybil." She said falling asleep.

"I love you too little wolf." She turned around and walked past August. She walked back down to the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator and pulled out the piece of pie Bria had made for dinner. August just stood by and watched her.
