Beginning line from the trial: 'Someone must have slandered Josef K., for one morning, without having done anything truly wrong, he was arrested.'

My carry on:
'That's how it was now, ever since Statesman got elected. You could get arrested for saying the wrong thing. I think he just wants to scare us. He wants to be the leader, forever, the 'police' patrolled the streets every day, looking for innocent people to arrest. The countries gone mad. Crime rates are up, murderers let out of jail. It feels like the purge.'
