"Om Namo Narayanaye....." Prahlad chanted with no care.
"Dhitkaar hai tujh par ! Band kar yeh Vishnu-vaani !" Hiranyakashyap yelled.
Prahlad opened his eyes and looked at Hiranyakashyap, he got up and went towards his father who was fuming in anger.
"Kshama kare Pitashree, bhagwaan Vishnu ki bhakti tyaag du ? Asambhav. Chota muh badi baat kintu aapke liye bhi Hari-naam lena hi uchit hoga. Bhagwaan Vishnu ko apna swami swikar kar lijiye." Prahlad said.
"Yeh kehne ka dusahas bhi kaise kiya tune Prahlad !? Tu mera putra hai, issi liye ek avsar de raha hu, yeh bhakti tyaag de aur kshama maang le toh praan daan ab bhi sambhav hai !" Hiranyakashyap said.
"Aap jo karne aaye hai woh kare, Narayan meri raksha awashya karenge." Prahlad said.
"Kaha se aayega woh Vishnu ?" Hiranyakashyap asked.
"Woh toh sadev mere saath hai." Prahlad said.
"Kaha hai tera Vishnu ?" Hiranyakashyap asked.
"Kaha nahi hai woh ? Har jagah hai." Prahlad smiled.
"Accha toh woh yaha bhi hoga !" Hiranyakashyap said as he raised his mace and hits a pillar, breaking it.
"Arrey woh toh yaha nahi hai !" He laughed as he broke another pillar.
"Woh toh yaha bhi nahi hai !" He said breaking another pillar.
He broke several pillars one after the other and mocked Prahlad that his Narayan is not there. He then walked up to Prahlad, upon whom the rays of setting sun were falling.
"Kaha hai tera Vishnu !?" Hiranyakashyapu asked.
Suddenly one pillar burst open with a bright light. Hiranyakashyap turned around and saw a an entity with a man's body and lion's neck.

The entity roared as Prahlad bowed to the avatar of Narayan, Narsimha.
"Paapi rakshas ! Kaal ke mukh mei jaane hetu sajj ho jaa !" Narsimha said.
Hiranyakashyap ran towards him swinged his mace but Narsimha caught it with one hand. With his extremely long nails he broke the mace into several pieces.
Hiranyakashyap looked at his broken mace and then at the fearful deity. Narsimha kicked him in his guts as Hiranyakashyap fell right onto the wall.
Before the king of asuras could get up, Narsimha stomped up to him picked him up and dragged him to the threshold of the palace.
He sat down and then puts Hiranyakashyap over his thighs as the Asur king looks at him with fear.
"Smaran kar apne vardaan ke shabdo ko Hiranyakashyap !" Narsimha said.
Hiranyakashyap shivered as the words of the boon ringed in his ears.
"Brahmadev, aap mujhe teeno Loko mei sabse sarvashaktimaan hone ka var de. Na devta, na manushya, na koi pashu mujhe maar sake. Na divas na ratri mei, na andar na bahar, na akash mei na bhoomi par, aur na kisi shashtra na kisi astra se mujhe koi mara jaa sake. Vardaan de prabhu !"
"Hiranyakashyapu ! Mai na manushya hu, na devta, na pashu ! Yeh na divas hai, na ratri, sandiya kaal hai ! Tu na andar hai na bahar, ghar ke chaukhat par hai ! Tu na akash mei hai, na bhoomi par, meri jangha par hai ! Aur mai na kisi shastra ya astra se nahi, apne nakhuno se Tera vadh karunga !" Narsimha roared.
He pierced the torso of Hiranyakashyap and penetrated his nails deep as the Asur screamed. Narsimha then pulls his entire skin off as blood splatters everywhere, killing Hiranyakashyap.
