this wasn't a regular nightmare
i woke up anxious
struggling to breathe,
in tears
yet still shook up
the very first thing i did
when i opened my eyes
was to message you
telling you
i love you
telling you
you mean so much to me
telling you
i care about you a lot
even if it was only a dream
it made me realize once again
how important you are for me
i think that says plenty
about my feelings for you
