Chapter-7: Dinner and Convos.

But its raining Sai.... How will you go?" He insisted.

"I'll go.... Besides, I love to get drenched in rains." Saying this she took off and started her vehicle.

"You'll get sick Sai!!" He shouted.

"Doctors don't get sick....!!!!" She shouted back with a smile.

He smiled and went inside his house and locked the door.

He took the lunch box and smiled like a cheshire cat because.... SAI GAVE THIS!!!

He smiled and kept the box on the table. He arranged the kitchen and sat on the sofa with the box. He was about to open the box when his phone ringed. He sighed in annoyance.

He looked at the phone. It was his Aai's video call. He settled on the couch and swiped the attend button.

Aai: Goduuu!!!!!!!

V: Aai.....!!

Aai: Oyee!!! How're you? And you look so thin? Its just been 3 days. Did you even eat??

V: Aai! Shaant! Shaanth! Shaanth! I am eating well..... Infact very well!

He said remembering Sai. Ashwini noticed his wide grin.

Aai: Okay then! So.... Have you settled in your place?

V: Almost Aai. Have to set my cloths.

Aai: You haven't done that? Shall I come there???

V: Aai!!! I'll manage. Don't you trust your son.

Aai: Not even a bit.

Virat's eye widened in surprise.

V: Aaiii!!!!!

Aai: What?

V: You're joking right?

Aai; Nope! I know about you and your tales.

V: Okay.... Moving on..... How's everyone in house?

Aai: Everyone's fine! Just missing you....

V: Am missing them too!

Aai; So.... Did You meet your guru?

V: Haan... Met him today!

Aai: Great.

They talked for a while. Virat ended the call and feasted on the dinner. After dinner, he retired to his bedroom for good night's sleep..... Little did he know.

Next day,

He woke up early and freshened up. He changed to his joggers and went outside for a nice walk. His reverie broke when he heard a familiar scream.

Sai's.

S: Leooooo!!!!!!! Stooopppp!!!!!!!!!!!!

He chuckled at it. Leo was pulling her and she was trying to pull and control him.

"Oh.... Hi Virat Sir! Good morning!" She greeted him.

"Hello Sai...... What happened?" He asked trying to control that damned smile growing in his cheeks.

"I don't know what happened to him today..... He's just pulling me with him." She told, totally confused.

It seems, Leo has calmed down. He came and licked Sai's legs and snuggled around it.

Both of them bent down.

"Aww....what happened baby??" She asked adorably.

Leo just whimpered and licked her face. She patted his head.

"Um.... Sai....?" He called her.

"Haan?"

"Can I join with you? For the jog.....?" He asked hesitantly. He wanted her company.

" sure... Why not!" She said and both stood up.

"How old is he?" Virat asked matching his steps with Sai.

"Who?" She asked a bit confusingly.

"Leo!"

"Oh Leo..... He's 4 years old!" She replied.

"Damn! He looks like a giant fox! Can't believe he's four years." He replied to Sai's glare.

"Am sorry.... I didn't mean to... Am" he tried to apologise

"Naah... Its okay! Don't worry!" She reassured him.

They continued their walk.

"So when are you joining the duty?" He asked.

"Today.... What about you?" She asked.

"Wow same! All the best!!!!" She congratulated him.

"Thank you. All the best for you too!" He replied with a huuggee smile.

A bit later,

Virat got ready and entered the police station. He felt a sense of pride and happiness. Everyone greeted him. He seeked blessings from his guru and sat in his cabin.

It was Almost lunch time.

Virat didn't bring anything as he forgot. He was in his cabin when he heard a sweet sound.

Of course, it's Sai's!😉

He went outside and found Sai lecturing Her father for being careless on his health. He smiled seeing her care and love.

She looked at him and gave him a smile.

"Hi Virat Sir!!" She greeted and walked towards him.

"Hi Sai... You.... Here?" He asked a bit flustered.

"Came here to give the lunch box to Aaba and you!" She said extending one more box

"Um.... Me?"

"Haan... Virat sir?! You don't want it?" She asked.

"No... I want it! I would love to have it!"
He said praying that he didn't show he was desperate.

"Here...." She gave the box.

"How did you know I didn't bring my lunch?"

"Oh... You didn't bring your lunch today?! Good thing I brought it" she exclaimed.

"Sai....."

"Hmm?"

'Thank you!"

Sai bowed her head in a dramatic way and walked out not before giving him a huge smile.
