Chapter Thirty-One: Everything is Different

Honestly, I don’t fill even close to being ready! I can’t tell my mom that and I have to do this, for Payton, my angel. “Yeah, I am sure,” I say and give her the best smile I can even though I am so scared.

“Alright, sweetie, I will call and talk to your school tomorrow. I see no reason why you won’t be able to,” my mom insists and I can hear the smile in her voice.

“Ok good,” I say with a real smile because that means I can start planning my date with Payton! I am going to make it one that she will never forget. It has to be something perfect and romantic because she deserves the best, she is my angel.

“Anything else?” she asks with her motherly voice and I suddenly remember something I have been meaning to ask her.

“Well I have been wanting to ask you, can I get eye surgery like Carter got?” I ask with a hopeful face.

My mom is silent and she sighs. “Your dad and I will look into it. But honey, there is no promises you will qualify or that’d it would work. I just don’t want you to get your hopes up and be disappointed,” she says with her soft, warming, moms tone.

“It’s ok mom, I understand. I just want be able to see again,” I say softly and I hear her cry a little.

“Oh sweetie I know!” she says and I hear her get up and hug me.

She says she knows, but she really doesn’t. She doesn’t know my reasons for it! She never could! She is part of the reason! I love her and I love my dad and siblings I just want life to return to normal, but with Payton. Payton is the only good thing that has come from all of this. She’s the only one who treats me normal. Well Carter does, but it’s different. Everything I do now is for her. I do everything for my angel. When I feel like I cannot just keep going on she’s there and I think of her. This girl has gone through a lot with her sister and compared to that I have no reason to complain. At least I am healthy; I wish I could say the same for Lila. Hell I wish I could just make Payton happy. Then a light bulb goes off over my head and the perfect idea for the date hits me.

I am going to make this a date that take her mind off of everything and makes her the happiest girl ever. This is going to be awesome! I cannot wait! What is this girl doing to me?

Sorry it's been so long( two days) :O

I have been swamped with school work.

However i didnt have school today so i worked on this for you all!!:D

Thank the snow, literally. I live in a state called West Virginia where one day it will be 70 some degrees and you are busting out your shorts and it rains. Then the very next day it is 10 degrees and snowing and you are bundled up like and eskomo. You may think i am joking. But i am 100% for real! This is true!!
