Seeing him sitting in his Captain America uniform was sending me through a loop of emotions I don't want to feel, facing your first love is cruel...working with them. Torture. His suit was darker than the last one I saw him in, it felt almost poetic. God, am I a walking dramatic monologue..
"Hey Chris," I look at him as he turns his phone screen off and faces towards me, the way his eyes traced my face made me feel at peace, cared for. "What's up?" He pops his p and I can't help but smile. I want to find a way to ask about Sebastian, I just don't know how.
"I have been avoiding you for a little bit, not all the time but enough...God. you deserve an explanation." I run my fingers through my hair nervously and immediately scold myself for messing up my hair.
His face becomes concerned, like worry was filling him more by the moment. "Yeah, I deserve it. I can't imagine it's easy for you, not with how I-" I put my hand on his.
"I forgive you Chris." I lock eyes with him, "I forgive you for everything." A smile so infectious spread across his lips making me mirror him with a large grin.
"I hope we can be the best friends we used to be, you were one of the best friends I ever had," I held his hand with both hands and I feel eyes on us. I keep my eyes on him as I await a response. "I would be honored to be your best friend, I appreciate your forgiveness more than you know." I nod, "you deserve it, you have helped me alot through all this, you could have made it miserable." I cringe at the thought, "I just needed to let you know I needed this...to heal."
Chris pulled his hand from mine and put his arm around my back, "I will do everything in my power to never hurt you again." I smirk and glance up at him, "sounds perfect."
