"Yo-"

"No."

"For the love of god will you stop and let me say something." He snaps, making me laugh. "So what I was going to say was there is this party going on at one of my friend's house I will be honest there is gonna be booze, some weed, and probably some other drugs that I don't know about yet."

I put on a serious face and act like I am truly thinking about it. "Well, when you put it that way... No." I go to walk away but am stopped once again by Nathan.

"Alexandria please."

I let out a light laugh. "Nate, I do not care. Why are you coming to ask me anyway?"

"Technically if anything happens to me you are responsible now so..." he drags out the o in so.

"Okay, then I will drive you and pick you up. Drink some beer, maybe a little weed but no more than that. You don't know what that other shit is." I point my finger in his face making sure his attention is still on me.

"Okay."

"Promise?" I hold my pinky out.

He lops him with mine. We both go down and kiss our hands. "Promise."

I nod once more. "Just let me know when you need me to take you." We let go of each other's hands and walk our separate ways.

"You are going to let him go to a party?" The voice of Elizabeth catches my attention but instead of looking at her I ignore her and walk to our living room so I can get to the backyard. "Alex, do you know what could happen?"

She follows me outside. "Elizabeth please I do not want to fight with you right now."

"I am not here to fight. I just think you should be a little more careful with them." I could feel the judgment dripping from her voice.

I stop causing her to slightly trip because of how close she was to me. "Elizabeth, when did Maliki get the scar on his lower back?"

"I don't know." She shrugs her shoulders.

"And when did Violet finally start wearing bras?" I ask another question.

"I-"

Before she can answer I ask another. "Nathan got a concussion. Why?"

"I can't say that I know the answer." She answers bitterly.

"Then you have no say in how I teach them to do anything. I have to constantly repeat myself with you and you never seem to get the hint." I put my cup on the bench, then head to my shed.

"Because you have never let me help." I grab my bucket of supplies. "You put your influence on the twins and since then they hate me."

"You did that all by yourself. When mom died-" she flinches at the mention of our mother. "You pushed us all away and when the kids went to you for help you would knock them down and tell them to get lost."

"I was coping." She defends.

"So were the rest of us." I raise my voice. "We all lost our mom Elizabeth. You were not the only one who was trying to handle the death of a woman who was supposed to be here for most of our lives."

"You don't understand." She turns away but before she could walk away I grab her arm.

"No. You wanna talk about this then we'll talk about it." I let go of her arm. She crosses them over her chest. "You say that you are so much like Mom but Mom was never the way you have been. Ever."

"You don't know what mom was like. You were a kid when she died." Elizabeth's snap only makes me angry.

"I was eleven for god sake. I know what my mom was like." My voice breaks and I can feel my eyes well up. "You don't get to take my memories with Mom away from me."

"I can when you are acting like this."

"No. Because if anyone doesn't remember it's you." She flinches. "If you remember her you would remember she was the most kind heart-loving woman we will ever meet. I don't know how she could give birth to a heartless person like you." The tears start welling up in her eyes alongside mine.

"Trust me I wasn't born this way." She mumbles a tear falls down her cheek.

"Then what is it? Huh? What have we done that has made you so cold-hearted towards us-" I walk up closer but not in a harsh motion.

"You took my mom from me!" She pushes me. "She was mine and you came into our lives and she had no more time for me." My sister's cries only make me much more angry.

"She was never only yours, to begin with. Mom was her person and she chose to share her love with all her kids. You weren't the only one who deserved it."

"You know what? Fuck you, Alex. You have acted high and might since she died-"

"Only because you were a coward and retracted any responsibility." My voice comes out cold and emotionless.

"You just don't get it." I roll my eyes.

"Oh boo hoo, Poor Elizabeth isn't getting the attention she needs. Go back home to your old man if you want anyone to coddle you." In one quick motion, I feel a sharp sensation on my cheek and my face is thrown to the side.

She slapped me.

"Woah!" One person grabs me and the other grabs Elizabeth. "What the hell Elizabeth?!" I bring my face back to its original position and look straight ahead seeing Oliver and Cameron standing behind Elizabeth.

"Hey don't blame her, Alex was antagonizing her," Cameron responded.

"Oh, so it's back to how it originally was? The older three against the younger." Maliki stares at our sibling in disgust and disappointment.

"I guess it is." The conversation dies but the eye contact that Elizabeth and I hold says much more than I need to know.

A/N

Trust me the chapters with Elizabeth are coming to an end. I know its a lot of arguing but it feeds the readers bits and pieces about the reason the family is so divided ;)
