Y/n's POV:
I stand near a bridge, thinking. My parents probably want me home, I should go. But as I turn, some random girl I think i recognize from the village is there. She's a bit far away, but I can tell she's staring.
"Hello? What's your deal?" The girl blinks and snaps out of it.
"Oh- sorry- I just- hello?" I think she said something in between but was talking to fast for me to notice. I walk towards her and she looks confused.
"What are you?" It only took a second for her to continue and speed up again. "Well not what, who? No- no- gender. Girl or boy? Sorry, that sounds weird, I just can't tell because of how you look. Y-you don't look bad keep in mi-" She stops as I start chuckling.
"I don't care if I look bad or good. But who said I was a boy or a girl?"
-Silent stare-
"Whatever, that was worded strange. I'm non-binary. But you don't know what that is, do you?" Of course she doesn't. Man I hate explaining things.
"Wait you don't have to be a girl or boy?" She noted excitedly. Then she looks scared.
"Well, no. Basically that's all that being non-binary is. You're not a boy or a girl. There are also sub-labels, where you are more specific than not a girl or boy. Like not being any gender is agender. Being multiple genders is bigender or pangender, depending. A switching gender is genderfluid. *Just switch this to your gender* But I'm nonbinary, and use they/them pronouns. Like he/him and she/her, just not boy or girl. There are other pronouns, and you can use multiple. Yeah that's pretty much it."
I look down after my long train of thought to see some other kid in front of me. They look familiar. Who are they?
They stare and run away as it hits me. "Camilio Madrigal!?"
