First birthday Pt1

Darren's pov:

Regie hasn't spoken a full sentence to me in 2 weeks.

The only time our conversations ever go longer than a minute is when it has something to do with the boys.

Today's their first birthday.

When I woke up, they were already in the living room, Tylon said his first word.

Like Tyler, it was Dada.

He probably learnt it from Tyler because that's all Tyler ever says.

Tyler has added a few new words to his vocabulary, but Tylon has just said two proper words.

I sit down next to the boys.

Regie re-enters the living room which he left when I came in.

"happy birthday day to you, happy birthday to tyler, happy birthday to tylon" He says.

Walking up to the boys, sitting down next to them with a makeshift cake.

Made from pancakes.

Tyler and Tylon clap their hands happily.

"ta Dada" Tyler says.

"tttta Dada" Tylon says.

Regie's sets the plate down infront of them.

"happy birthday my babies" I say.

I get ignored as they smash their little hands into the cake.

Regie pulls his phone out his back pocket.

Taking pictures of them.

I smile, he looks up at me, smiling and his expression stays the same. 

"I love you" I mouth.

"I love you" he mouths back.
