"Sidanth.. Mom is on the call.."...Shruti passes him the phone..

"Hey Mom!"

"Hello bachha! Theek hai na tu?"

"Absolutely fit and fine Mom! How about you?"

"Don't lie! Shru told me about last night!"

"Great! Atleast you guys spoke to each other for me!"

"Sidanth! Don't change the topic!"

"Mom, I am absolutely fine! Dad and Shru are just overstressing on this!"

She leaves out an exhale.. seemingly in frustrations..

"What's wrong? You okay?".. he questions..

"How can I be? Tu theek nehi hai beta! Come to me na! I will take care of you!"

"Mom I will! More than you, I want myself to come to a conclusion for this! But right now, there is too much in my store Mom! Office has got a new project! PhD is on the verge! I don't have time for myself..!"

"Sidanth everything else can wait! You need to fix yourself! I don't know anything! You are coming and that's final!"...Mom insists..

"Alright Mom! Listen to me..you are 64! Don't take so much stress! There is no one to look after you there! I will be there soon and till then I will be fine! Just take care of yourself!"

"I will bachha!"

"Chal bye! Take care! Shru se baad mein baat karlungi.."

Shanaya is talking to her childhood friend (Ruby) over the phone..

"Sanu don't you think you are overthinking??"

"Nehi yaar Ruby! Kuch toh hai! Ab toh Bhaiya Bhabhi se bhi baat nehi kar sakti is bare mein! Ajeeb lagta hai!"

"Kya lagta hai tujhe? Why is this happening?!"...asks Ruby..

"Pata nehi yaar! Kabhi kabhi lagta hai yaheen hai, yahan hai, bilkul mere paas! Tabhi I create my paintings accordingly! Other times, chahke bhi feel nehi kar pati hoon! It's frustrating!"

"Sanu! See a doctor! It's high time!"

"Rukh na yaar! Sun toh le! Tujhe pata hai..aisa lagta hai..koi hai, kuch reh gaya hai, kuch adhura, pata nehi kya hai but there is a story behind Ruby!"

"Sanu so ja! Warna phirse raat jag jag k yeh sab sochegi!"

"Hmm..you are right! Waise bhi kal raat nehi so payi main! Chal bye babe!"

"Malhotra, I hope you can fix this! He is my talented one!"

"Siresh (his Dad), let me speak to him first! Hai kaha yeh by the way?!"

"He is on his way..Monday hai na..zoom call par tha..abhi araha hai upar..main Shruti ko leke ja raha hoon..we will be around"... Says Dad..

"Alright Siresh..I will wait for Sidanth. Cambridge is a beautiful place.. go for a walk with your daughter.."

"Hmm.."

Dad leaves with Shruti and Sidanth arrives after an hour..

"Umm excuse me.. I had an appointment with Mr. Malhotra.. could you check?"

"Sure Sir! Just give me a second.."

"Yes.. sir.. you will have to go straight to the left.."

"Thank you.."

"You are welcome!"

He knocks on the door..

"Hey Sidanth! Please come in!"

"Good morning uncle! How are you?!"

"I'm good beta! Tum batao! How are you doing now?"

"Uncle I'm all okay when I am awake but all twisted at sleep!"..he smirks..

"Well Uncle, I wouldn't lie, but these days, I get visuals even I am awake as well!"

"Hmm I heard! Any specific idea, why such dreams or visuals?!"

He sighs.."No uncle! Not at all!"

"Tell me everything!"

"Uncle it feels like there is someone who is trying to pull me back! A hand & a ring on it! I see a room which seems too damn familiar! And it's me on the mirror of that room and those hands holding me from behind! A tight
wrap! Feels like the person has a fear of losing me!" 💫

"So it's a girl, who is trying to hold you back but you only remember seeing her hands..am I right?"

"Hmm kind of.."

"Tell me something..how long have you been experiencing this?!"

"I have lost count of years now! Probably right after my bachelor's! It's been more than 10 years now! But it seems constant now!"

"Hmm..I see! It's a clear case of hallucination! I'm sure there is a part in your cerebrum which has stored a story, either you read somewhere or witnessed! It has affected you personally and hence you are hallucinating, like you are experiencing something on perceptions which doesn't exist!"

"Sorry uncle I was never into books and neither I get indulged in anyone's life!"

"Beta, what we hallucinate has nothing to do with our personal nature. A person can pick it up from anywhere!"

"Are you sure?"

"I am! Tell me something, which place you think it is?"

"How are you so sure..?"

"I talk in Hindi which I can't in real life! I see myself driving..I see streets..it's India, infact, it's Mumbai! I did my research!"

"Hmm..your father was telling me that you are planning to go there as well..as in to meet your Mom?"

"Yes..she deserves to see me!"

"Okay listen to me..I would also suggest you to go there..try to get hold of everything you see and visualize! I am sure when you would find nothing as such exist, this will eventually brush off from your system! But for that, your brain needs to accept it and being a logical person you are, you need to have your own experience as well!"...suggests Mr. Malhotra..

"Hmm..you really think it will work?"

"I believe it will! The is purely a wish, your wish, nothing more Sidanth! But I want you to believe it yourself! Best of luck!"

"Hmm..I think you are right! Thank you uncle..! I will take your leave..!"..he shakes his hand with Mr. Malhotra and leaves..

"Bhaiya..next week I have an exhibition in Mumbai..main Bhabhi ko leke chalun?"

"Shanaya..I think you should apply for your higher studies bacha!"

"Bhaiya..this is my last exhibition! Uske baad aap jo bologe, I will listen to you!"

"Mummy Papa k baad, if I have anyone to look upto, then it's you bacha! You are precious guriya! Tu dhyaan rakh apna! I will set applications for you once you come back.."
