Chapter 2

Naina is moving here and there on knowing the complete truth about Rajveer's health.

It isn't just shocking but really eye opening truth for her.

She knows what Rajveer is doing....if she would have been the earlier Naina then, she might not be able to figure about. But now after all those hardships...she knows...

It's an act of penance for him.

All those things he made her go through....he doesn't know how to make up for them..

She didn't know, when tears make their way through her eyes.

What mess she has done with her life...

When they were little, she used to be so happy that the entire life for her is figured out. She knew she is going to marry Rajveer. Simple.

And she did too....but now where she is standing nothing seems simple.

"Kya soch rahi hai Gudiya?"

Naina turned with a jerk to see Naveen standing there.

His smile benign like always. Although he doesn't at all look like his old version but his smile, twinkle in the eyes remind her, that he is the same.

She smiled sadly at him and then looked away.

She is standing on the roof of the safe house looking at the setting sun. The entire day she spent going through the findings about Gunny. Alekh and Pooja came back with really valuable information. They will soon figure out where he is..

"Har rat ke bad ek nai subah hoti hai Gudiya aur har subah ke bad ek nai raat", Naveen said looking at her.

Naina looked at him, "aapke sath kya hua tha bhaiya? Ab to sach bata dijiye".

Naveen smiled and sat down on floor, pulling her down with him.

"Han...ab to tujhe sab sach batana hi hai..tujhe ye to pata hi hoga ki Maj. Bhargav ne mera search operation lead kia tha...aur bad me kahan ki unhone ne hi mera encounter kia tha", Naveen said.

Naina nodded her head.

"Darasal, Naina....mera encounter hua hi nahin tha. Mai bhagne me kamyab ho gya tha. Lekin itni jakhmi halat me tha ki mera bachna lagbhag namumkin tha....shayad islie Maj. Bhargav took the liberty of saying ki meri death ho chuki hai encounter me"

Naina is listening carefully.

"Unhe shayad dar tha ki agar un logo ko pata chal gya ki mere bachne ke jara se bhi chances hai to vo to unhe na sirf naukari se nikalte balki marva bhi sakte the..."

"Fir bhaiya, agar aap bach gaye the to aapka ye chehra...", Naina wondered.

"Jis jeep se mai ja raha tha uska break fail kia gya tha...uski vajah se mera accident ho gya aur mai kafi had tak jal gya"

Naina held his hand. It's really difficult for her to know that his brother has suffered so much.

Naveen kept his hand on her, pressing her hand to comfort her.

"Dr. Basu jo ki army me hi ek surgeon hai aur by chance mere sath pahle kam kar chuke the...unhone ne mujhe bachaya. He was crossing by aur unhe mai mil gya. He believed in me aur unhone ne hi mujhe ek nai pehchan di", Naveen told her finally.

"Par aap to Rajasthan regiment se the...Pooja aur maine check kia tha", Naina asked.

"Han...Dr. Basu actually Rajasthan regiment se hai aur vahan unke kuch strong political connections the. Un sab ki vajah se mujhe ek nai pehchan dena kuch mushkil kam nahin tha.....vaise bhi army me ye kafi common hai...", Naveen said stroking her hairs.

"Par fir aap is mission par?" , she asked.

"Mai is mission par hun kyuki ye mera hi mission hai. Maine ye mission anonymously lia hai. Raj ne to kafi bad me join kia", he told her.

"Rajveer aapke sath kam kar rahe hai? Bhaiya he is very impulsive....aur specially with me....aap jante nai hai..."

Naveen pressed her hand, "nai Gudiya...mai sab janta hun. Sab kuch pata hai mujhe...par mai kuch aise sach bhi janta hu jo tu nahin janti hai".

She is astonished.

How can her Bhaiya is still siding with Rajveer? That too after knowing everything? No, if means he doesn't know everything.

"Bhaiya...aap samjh nahin rahe hai....he was brutal with me....to Gunny...unko bhi fasana chahte the vo....mujhe jabardasti...", her voice is choking. All those painful memories are still so fresh in her mind.

Naveen made her look at him, "Mujhe Sab kuch pata hai Gudiya....".

He wiped her tears.

"Mai janta hu tere aur Raj ka rishta kis had tak bikhar chuka hai..", Naveen said looking at her.

"Fir bhi aap....", Naina asked.

"Raj bahut buri tarah fas chuka tha Naina jab mai Ambala pahucha. Jin logo ne mujhe marvane ki koshish ki unhone ne hi Raj ko is tarah gumrah kia tha...ki vo sacchai se koso door tha...", Naveen told her looking faraway.

"Mai un logo ke bare me jan gya tha aur baki kadiyan jod rha tha jab mujhe pata chala ki Raj ke bare me.....mai Ambala aya usi waqt. Par tab tak tum dono ke bich cheeze bahut bigad chuki thi....

Tu jana chahti thi aur maine tujhe jane dia. Gudiya tujhe bhi haq hai ki tune jo choti si dunia hum dono ke sath banai thi uske bahar khud ko talashe", Naveen smiled by holding her shoulders.

Naina blinked few times to understand what Naveen is telling her. It all is so much for her but she wants to take it all. So much is going on behind her back.

"Par bhaiya aapne Rajveer ko maf kaise kar dia? Unhone aapki Gudiya ko itni takleef pahunchai..", Naina asked. She is still not in terms with this.

"Raj ne bhi bahut kuch jhela hai Gudiya......"

Naina looked deeply at Naveen. He seems reluctant in telling her something.

She held his hand, "aaj koi sach mat chupaiye bhaiya".

He smiled sadly at her, "tujhe tera bhai protect nahin kar paya na. Akhir meri masum behan ki masumiyat is dunia ne cheen hi li. Aur agar ye sach jan lia tune to tu......vada kar mujhse ki apne is bhai se humesha tu apne dil ki bat kahegi...kuch nai chupayegi".

Naina looked at him, now scared that what is going to tell her. But she nodded in agreement.
