Right as I was going to respond, the sight of lights and a car door opening grabbed my attention. I scramble to get the door open, throwing it and rushing out. Hunter sees me and a big smile is on his face.

"Honey bee." I go over to him, throwing my arm's around him. Pulling him down so he was more at my level but that only resorted to him pulling me up and off the ground so I was at his level. "I missed you so much." He mumbles.

"I missed you too." I have never gone more than a day without seeing him let alone a full two weeks. "You have no idea how lonely it felt not having my right-hand man around."

"At Least you were here I was over there with all of your employees who no longer think of me as a friend but more of a boss now." He gently lets me down and looks at my face. One of his hands lightly skims over the back side of my bicep making me wince. "What?"

"Nothing."

"No, what is that?" He grabs my arm and lift's it up leaning down to look at it. "Oh my- when did this happen?"

"The funeral," Cameron answered for me. Hunter's gaze lifted behind me. "Some man found his way in and grabbed onto her."

"And you didn't help her?" Hunter tenses.

"Oh trust me, I helped. The guy had a broken nose by the end of it." Cameron gives Hunter a big grin.

I could see a smile inch up on Hunter's face. "Thank you." He tells Cameron genuinely.

"Come on Hunter. I know I haven't always been the nicest to you or my little sister but that doesn't mean I don't care for her. Hell, I might even have a little soft spot for you." Cameron gives Hunter a nudge on the shoulder. "After all, I've known you since you were five."

"I have to admit." Hunter takes a beat. "You aren't as bad as I thought you were."

"Awww Hunty. You love me." Cameron throws his arms around Hunter. "I have a feeling we are gonna be good friends, me and you. Cammy and Hunty." This is where I intercept.

"Okay. That is enough." I push Cameron off of Hunter. "This is my favorite tree, Cameron. You can't have him, so back off." I wrap my arms around Hunter's torso. My head only reached his chest so when he laughed I could hear it in his chest.

"Not for long." Cameron narrows his eyes at me and slowly backs away slowly.

"Whatever." I let go of Hunter, walk over, and grab his smallest bag. "Let's go. You are sleeping in my room because all the rooms are taken."

"There is one room." Maliki shuffle's a deck of cards I did not realize he even had in his hands.

"Maliki, he is not going to sleep in our dead parent's room."  I walk past him up the steps.

"Don't you think it is a bit inappropriate for the two of you to share a room?" He lets his head fall back to look up at me.

"No Kai it's not. I've slept in the same room with him since we were kids. Not to mention we are adults." I finally made it to the top of the steps. "You're acting like you've never had a girl in your room." I look over my shoulder to see the two men following me up.

"But you're my sister. I am meant to protect you."

"I am older. I am supposed to protect you, idiot." We walk down the hallway until we finally get to my room.

"No. You're the sister and I'm the brother. The brother is supposed to take care of the sister." I throw the door open and toss Hunter's bag onto the bed.

"No, actually gender doesn't matter. It's the age that matters. If I want to defend my little brother then I will defend him." I hear Hunter let his bag fall onto my bed with a thump. "Hunter, you can put your clothes in my closet."
