Bad luck boys

I walked into a bustling canteen. It's obvious that these people have never been in any army bases before they are way too bubbly and excited.

I join the line up to the food counter and see a crowd around one guy near the front of the line. All 3 of the other girls supposedly on the training course have managed to work their way over to him too.

Great a popular guy.

I just want to eat!

He doesn't seem too impressed with the crowd either. I'm sure I recognise him from somewhere. Can't think of where though. The crowd thins as General Cooper makes his way though the crowd and toward 'Mr popular' he puts an arm over his shoulder and they go to get food whilst having a chat. I get my food and plonk myself in a corner where nobody will talk to me.

I finish the dismal meal similar to those I've had in the middle of war zones, and stand up to clear away my things. As I walk to put my tray on the rack I feel myself get pushed forcibly from behind.

What the fuck? I turn around and glare at the culprit who just so happens to be 'mr popular' from the queue apparently trying to subtly escape his hoard of fans.

I grab his arm threateningly and scowl at his confused face.

"Watch where you're going idiot!"

I hiss at him. He looks beyond shocked and nods as he scurries out of the door trying not to be noticed.

Who is this weird guy? Why do I feel like I know him? Where on earth is he sneaking off to?

I allow my instincts to take over as I follow him around the side of the building. His ginger hair hardly makes him hard to follow and his height really doesn't help.

He doesn't seem to know where he's going, I don't mean that he's lost, more that he can't decide where he will be least likely to be spotted.

"Hey!"

I shout at him, blowing my cover instantly, he turns around startled.

"We're you following me?"

he looks at me like I'm mad.

"Perhaps but that is irrelevant Officer, you need a place to hide?"

I don't know, this guy seems nice enough why shouldn't I help him out? Anyhow I wouldn't mind with some peace and quiet myself.

He takes a moment to consider my offer, and then looks at me curiously,

"You really don't know who I am do you?"

Well of course I don't we haven't introduced ourselves,

"No, and you don't know who I am either captain obvious" I retort sarcastically.

His eyes scan around us, as if looking for the horde of people to come and chase us.

"Ok where do we hide?" He asks begrudgingly.

And I begin to form a plan in my head.

Mission one: Get rid of the baboons in my bunker.

"Ok I know what we're going to do"

I say as I lead the way toward cabin 6- my bunker. I walk down one side of the cabin, out of view of the door and 'Mr popular' follows me warily.

We can hear the boys in the cabin still chatting like old women.

"Right, stay here until I say you can follow Officer" I instruct the bizarrely familiar looking new Officer.

He look startled at my imperative tone but smiles and nods at me.

I walk along the length of the cabin, before clambering up the steps and bursting into the room, the boys look up simultaneously.

"You do know that dinner is going to end in 10 minutes, right?" I ask the now horrified boys. And one after the other force on their boots and run out of the door uniforms left untouched in the wardrobes. Idiots.

I watch the last boy (Officer Alex Langham) slowly running out of sight before sticking by head around the corner and yelling

"OI GINGE THE COAST IS CLEAR GET YOUR ARSE UP HERE"
