Chapter 1

Hi! This is (A/n)! I would just like to clarify that I will be using Chara's pronouns as she/her, Frisk's as they/them, and Kris as he/him! Thank you for reading!

 A dark silhouette stands in the distance. Darkness is all one can see. What is it? Who is it? Darkness spreads from a fountain of light. A fountain of darkness. "This next experiment will be very, very, interesting." 

 "Frisk! You don't have to do this! We can still RESET!" Chara yelled out to her partner while having a bone impaled into their body. Frisk remained silent. Chara sighed, there was nothing she could do. This was the 38th time fighting Sans. While Frisk had most of the control over their soul, Chara still felt all the physical pain, not to mention the emotional pain she felt when she killed all her friends and family. As Frisk tried to strike again, Sans was able to stab one of his bones into their body. Soul shattered. Again. "let's just get to the point." Sans said, pupils not showing. Frisk easily dodged Sans's first attack, then attempted to strike with their knife. Sans attacked again and then so did Frisk. This went on for a while, the entire battle Chara was doing her best to convince Frisk to stop. Then, after the 13th attack was attempted, the battle paused, Sans tried to reason with Frisk. "I know you didn't answer me before, but... somewhere in there...". But to no avail. Frisk ignored what Sans was saying and pulled out their Knife. That was the moment, Chara was able to take control of Frisk's body. Knife raised, Chara did one thing that she could do. Plunged it down. 

 Sans prepared to dodge the attack. The kid equipped the knife in their hand. This is when he realized, this wasn't Frisk, this was another force. Sans was about to dodge when, the sound of a blade sinking deep into skin was heard. Sans looked up, this kid had stabbed themselves.

 Chara realized something when she was able to take control, this wasn't her partner Frisk, this was something else. Someone else. She thought to herself. She realized this thing wasn't going to give up just because of Sans. But maybe, if she interferes, something could change.                      

Just as blood started leaking out, a black swirl enveloped the room, Including the people in it. Suddenly, everything was black. Chara felt her conscious fading, then, she passed out. 

 Chara wakes up in a room in pitch black darkness. She looked around, a very uneasy feeling forming in her soul. She got up and sighed. She then started looking around. Where was she? How was she here? Questions swarmed her head. But that's when she saw them. "MOM! DAD! AZZY!" Chara ran towards them and into her brothers embrace. All the pain of the last genocide route vanished. As Chara's eyes adjusted a bit. She realized that there were actually a lot of people she recognized here. There was her family, Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel, but there were also a lot of friends of pacifist Frisk, Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Papyrus, and Muffet. There was also Flowey, Chara was able to deduce that this must be a place above time, maybe something to do with resets? That's when it struck her, she had a physical body! But that celebration was cut short. She saw a lot of people she didn't recognize. A boy who was wearing... the same shirt she and Asriel wear? A mean purple brute, a green wizard who looked a bit too similar to her brother, and many more. Then, she saw Sans and Frisk. 

 Chara Carefully approached them. Frisk saw her and smiled, " Hey Chara!" Chara was relieved to see that Frisk was back to their normal self and getting along with Sans. Chara waved and walked away. 

TIME SKIP TO 20 MINUTES LATER OF CATCHING UP WITH HER FRIENDS

 Chara now knowing everyone she cared about was ok, was DETERMINED to find how to escape this dark void. As if someone read her thoughts, suddenly a huge fountain appeared. Chara was in shock and fell. Suddenly, as if escaping from the fountain, a world suddenly started forming around them. A loud voice started to come from somewhere in the walls, 

"WELCOME, TO THE UNDERGAMES!"
