"Okay Roman, you've been discharged, you're all set." The nurse that had stood by Roman's side for his entire C-Section comes back into the room, carrying a manila folder. "In here is Emile's birth certificate and other important papers, and a little surprise."
Roman continues staring down at Emile as she sets it next to him on the bed and leaves.
"You're perfect." Roman whispers as Emile finishes his first bottle. "Absolutely perfect."
After Roman had held Emile for the first time, he was taken away and given a bath, and then was dressed before the nurse made Roman a bottle to give to him.
And suddenly, the small thought slipped into his brain.
You wouldn't have him if it wasn't for the community.
Roman knew what he had to do.
