August 11, Wednesday 

The Next Day

"Hey, Minhyung didn't your birthday just pass?" The manager asked

"Yeah like a week ago?"

"Here's a present for you," He passes Minhyung a bag

"Thanks," He opens the bag and inside it is...

"Oh wow, you could've told me to take the trash instead of bringing my hopes up like that," Minhyung said

"I know! But I just wanted to see your face change," The manager laughs

"Your soulmate's birthday will probably have their birthday in I don't know when but before that I should give you a day off or else the hospitals will have another case of fainting," He got closer to Minhyung and whispered in his ear "But without your soulmate".

The manager laughs as he gets out of his ear

"One more hour and you can go do your own thing tomorrow as well, don't love me too much," He winks and snaps his finger

"What a weird boss I have but I weirdly respect the dude," Minhyung mumbled

"I'm going to the cafe first before I get to class, do you guys want to come with me?"

"Nah I'm good", "Lazy."

"Okay then see you both in class later," Minjeong closes the door of the dorm and walks to her favourite cafe 

At Mist Cafe

"Here's your order ma'am," Minhyung gives the lady her latte

She said thank you, "Have a nice day," He said

Once the lady was out of the door he lets out a groan

"Tough day?" His colleague Changmin asked

"You know it but that's the disadvantage of FnB right?" Minhyung said

Changmin shrugs "Whatever, we should rest while there are no customers to serve."

Just as Minhyung was about to seat down on the chair with a comfortable cushion and a place to rest his back, the bell rings.

"Urgh, not saved by the bell I guess," Minhyung sighed

"You make the drink while I give the check," Changmin said

"Wow nice one, once you pass the receipt all you have to do is rest until the next customer comes while I make the drink," Minhyung says in sarcasm 

"Once you're done, you get to rest too," Changmin pats Minhyung on the back

Changmin walks to the register 

"What can I get you today?" Changmin puts on the professionalism 

"Can I have the Green Tea frappe?" The customer asked

"Yes, what size?"

"Grande."

"Do you want whipped cream?", "Yes."

"Ok, can I have your name?"

"Minjeong," She said

He writes her name on the cup "That will be 6.50," Changmin said

She passes him 10 dollars "Alright, here's the receipt and I'll call out your name once your order is ready," Changmin said

He passes her the receipt and change

"Hey what drink did she order?" Minhyung asked

"Green Tea Frappuccino with Whipped cream, here's your cup," Changmin said

Once Minhyung was done making the drink

He calls Minjeong 

"A drink for Minjeong," He says loudly 

Minhyung scans the area and sees a girl with Black hair having dyed blond bangs  

idk how to explain how much I want a hair like that

Once Minjeong arrived, he gives her her drink

She bowed a little and said thank you

As Minhyung and Changmin enjoyed the surprisingly peaceful cafe, Minjeong suddenly stood up.

"Argh I totally forget about class," Minjeong picked up her bag and her unfinished drink, dropping her nursing card

I don't know about y'all but I have some important stuff I have to bring as a health student. I have friends from studying nursing and boii do they have some important attire stuff.

She runs out the door, making the two baristas look at the girl running.

"Come on let's clean the mess," Changmin said to Minhyung

They both went to the table where Minjeong sat

"Have you seen that girl's book? That shit looks heavy," Changmin said

As Changmin talked, Minhyung bend down to see if anything dropped. But what he didn't expect was Minjeong's nursing card.

A nursing card is basically a card for actual nurses to bring around for identification in the real world. The one that Minjeong has it's just for practice for them to hang it on their uniform and get used to.

Without it, Minjeong would get scolded by her lecturer for missing attire.

"Oh? Lee Minjeong, KQ College? that's where I go," Minhyung read the card

"She's a nursing student? I didn't know nursing students can dye their hair and wear normal clothes to school," Changmin said

"I see a lot of nursing students in my school change their attire before and after their classes start, this might be important," Minhyung removes his apron

"You're not going anywhere until our shifts end Minhyung," Changmin stops him

"But-"

"No buts, she will not be expecting some random barista dude from a cafe and give her this weird card thing," Changmin said
