Chapter 24 - The Realm Within the Roaring Fires

3rd Person's POV:

Once the airship has set itself back on earth, it began to flew even more higher up in the sky releasing thick amounts of gas from it's engine.

As it finally reached and blended amongst the clouds, it's speed returned to normal.

Blizzard sat on one of the chairs that were available, zeus and shadow followed the red beastmen.

Max stared at lian who was only standing still, strange how he wasn't driving the vehicle.

Max: Um.. Lian? Don't we need to drive this thing?

Lian: This is an "Automatic Airship" so it drives automatically.

Blizzard: Awesome! But where will it take us?

Lian: Hmm.. The map still hasn't shown me any pathway towards any gate yet but for now, we'll just keep looking.

Max: So, it is indeed a world trip?

Lian: Possibly, I hope you brought some bags because I don't plan on stopping this very vehicle any time.

Shadow: Let's just hope no one gets air sick.

Zeus: Especially blizzard.

Blizzard: What?! Why me?

Max: Well you're mostly the prone one on our group.

Blizzard: What?! I don't get air sick!

Max: Stop being in denial blizzard, there's nothing you should be ashamed of.

Blizzard: Easy for you to say! You're not susceptible in to getting dizzy!

Zeus: So you admit it then?

Blizzard: No! I- uhm... GAAAH! Forget about it! At least lian can back up for me right lian?

No one responded to him.

Blizzard: Erm.. Lian?

Max: Don't disturb him blizzard, he's busy.

Lian was currently observing the map, there were still no clear indication on where they should look first but that still didn't stop him.

Zeus: Yup, he's pretty busy at the moment.

Max sat next to blizzard.

A few minutes have passed when suddenly lian felt his ears twitch.

Lian: Huh?

Suddenly loud waves can be heard by the five of them.

Blizzard: What was that?

The waves kept on getting louder and louder.

Lian: GAH! Darkwaves!

Max: Dark what?!

Lian: Cover yourselves!

The airship began to shake violently as a violet gas wave began to erupt from the horizon.

They couldn't see it clearly as they were currently surrounded by clouds.

Soon, the darkwaves began to weaken until eventually, the power it holds died off.

Lian was currently laying on the ground along with the four beastmen, they were both shocked and confused, what was that just now?

Once the violet dark fog cleared up, they were all able to get back on their feet.

Lian: Darkwaves... This can't be good.

Max: Lian.. What are darkwaves?

Lian: Darkwaves usually are emitted when something or someplace are in danger...
