Chapter 31 - Detention

In Class...

Mr Aizawa: "Alright everyone, in your seats. Now."

During class, your thoughts wander to your crush. Your face heats up a bit before you smile.

Y/T: 'Maybe... I should confess to him...?'

You let out a small giggle out of nowhere.

Mr Aizawa: "Is there something funny, L/N?"

Y/N: "A-ah... my chances of not getting detention...?"

Mr Aizawa: "Right you are, you're staying after school."

Y/N: "*sigh* Yes, Mr Aizawa..."

Class continues as normal.

Mina: "Y/N!!"

Y/N: "Yeah...?"

Mina: "Why did you giggle all of a sudden?! You got detention!"

Y/N: "I was... I was... I was just... thinking about... Kiri..."

Mina: "Oh! You're thinking of your crush! And you gave him a nickname too. That's so cute!"

Y/N: "Shush... Don't say it so loud!!"

Mina: "Yeah, yeah. Do you want me to help you confess?"

Y/N: "No... Let's just eat lunch..."

After School...

Mr Aizawa: "Fifteen minutes of detention, then you can leave. I'm taking a nap."

He zips himself up into his sleeping bag and disappears under his desk.

Y/T: 'Man... this sucks... Kirishima... Does he really like me? Mina said he did, but... he did kiss me last night...'

You hold your hand to your heart. It's beating fast, and you're sure your face is red.

Y/T: 'Man... I'm a mess... Stupid Y/N! Why can't I get my thoughts together!'

Mr Aizawa: "You can leave now."

Y/N: "Sorry..."

You leave the classroom and head outside.

Y/N: "Finally... out of detention..."

You sigh and walk to the nearby park to clear your head.

Zach: "Y/N!"

Y/N: "Z-Zach!!"

Zach: "I thought I'd find you here!"

He jogs to catch up to you and stops by your side.

Zach: "I-i saw you with that Kirishima guy! It looked like you were getting close to him... did he kiss you? I thought... our date... I thought you were going to be mine!"

Y/N: "It wasn't a date, Zach."

Y/T: 'Why was he outside of my house anyway...? Spying on Kiri and I??'

Zach: "It was!"

Y/N: "It wasn't."

Zach: "Well... have fun with that weird haired guy... he looks like a villain anyway!"

Y/N: "You're not making any sense... Kirishima is a good guy!"

Zach: "No he's not!"

Y/N: "Yes he is! He's sweet, and kind and he- he cares about me! And I care about him! You... You're acting like a petulant child..."

Zach: "You're so... stupid! I'll leave! And you'll be missing me so hard that you... you... you'll do something!"

Y/N: "Yep... missing you already..."

You roll your eyes and make your way back home.
