Chapter 17: School Life

        When the dungeons started appearing on Earth and the monsters started wreaking havoc, The country of the United States was one of the most devastated by the attacks and dungeon outbreaks that happened. But it was also one of the fastest countries that managed to adapt to the new situation of the world and recover. 5 years have passed since the dungeons started appearing, the government of the US has been restructured and altered to suit the current era of dungeon explorations and monster hunting. Its economy and business are thriving. There are so many things to discover and research. People have been inventing things with the use of materials from the dungeon. They also came up with creative and feasible ideas to solve their former and current problems.

The land of freedom remains standing even though there was some protest here and there from some of their few states for independence.

The capitalist company and the military of their country have been zealously continuously acquiring materials from the dungeon from their states. But with their need and demand of their resources from the dungeon, it seems that it wasn't enough for them.

Recently, their intelligence service which was unofficially infamous for acquiring information gathered the recent traces of many countries in the world hiding some nefarious secrets. People from that intelligence gathering organization have failed in infiltrating a few countries which have their security upped several times. They have failed in acquiring any useful information in those countries with very tight securities. On the other hand, in the countries that they have infiltrated and observed in the past months, they gained shocking information that left them uneasy and cautious. Some people who were part of their upper management were hysterical upon learning the secrets that those countries have hidden from the world.

The information that they gained was something that would change the tides of this world once again. A meeting was held between some of the important people in their country. And in the end, it was decided that they can't let those countries gain an advantage because of those secrets.

So that's why when the month of December would arrive, the first-ever international gathering of hunters has been called by the Federal Bureau of Hunters of the United States where it was first established.

Many hunters around the world were surprised by the sudden conference that would be held upon the month by December and issued by the United States, though they don't find it surprising. Sooner or later, a conference would be held for them to discuss the matters regarding dungeons, monsters, and hunters. Yet, it was unknown to most of them because of the secrets that most of the countries were hiding among each other.

        Today was the start of August, it has been several months since Graal was awakened. Upon the start of the new quest of the dungeon building, so far he has managed to build several D rank dungeons across the world. In total, there was a total of 3 D rank dungeons that was established and connected through the gates and to the Earth.

The First D rank dungeon that he built during June, he decided to put the gate of the dungeon in the Norfolk Islands which was a territory of Australia. He didn't know what came upon him, but he decided to randomize the locations of the dungeons with the help of the Holy Grail. Truthfully, he didn't want to become so bias that he would put the first D rank dungeon in the United Kingdom when they already have two dungeons from him.

It wouldn't do. Even he was a fan of the knights of the round table, he mustn't give in to the temptation. Other than that, he was afraid that the system would punish him for being too biased.

He didn't know why he like the UK in particular, maybe he was living there in his past life?

Anyway, the result of their randomized spawning of gates cause a dungeon outbreak on Norfolk Island. Thankfully, no one was living there. But in the case of the profit for dungeon points, it was bad news.
