Author's POV

It has been a few days since the
last time Ni-Ki saw Jay.
Ni-Ki knows that Jay can't use up his
time just to see him.
But he does miss seeing him in person.

They've been talking on their phones.
You know, calling each other and
messaging each other.
They'd been doing that a lot.

The reason why Jay hasn't been
able to leave the house, is because
his father's been busy with work
and he's needed his son's help.
It's normal for Jay to help out his
father when it comes to work.
His father's in his mid-fifties,
not as young as he used to be
20 years ago, obviously.

Today was a free day for Ni-Ki.
No work. A day off!
Ni-Ki was thrilled to hear this information.
He doesn't usually have a day off,
only during Christmas and New Year holidays,
or he just can't make it in
that day.

You'd expect that Ni-Ki would
want to stay home and relax,
but no.
He wants to hang out Jay.
Maybe because he hasn't seen him
for a little while,
he wants to catch up with him?
Possibly?

Ni-Ki, who was comfortably
sitting in his bedroom, rose up
from his bed and made his way
to the living room.

He noticed Sunoo resting
on the couch with a blanket
for warmth.
"Yes?"
Sunoo could sense Ni-Ki
behind him.

"What are you doing?"
Ni-Ki asked, and stood behind the couch,
resting his arms on the backrest.
"I am watching something."
Sunoo was looking down at his phone.
"What are you watching?"
"Just scrolling through my phone."

Sunoo turned his phone off
and faced Ni-Ki who had an eyebrow raised.
"Why are you being so secretive?"
Ni-Ki asked.
"I'm not being secretive."
"Yes, you are."
"There's nothing for me to hide."

Sunoo sighed and rubbed his eyes.
"Did you want something?"
Sunoo asked in a quiet voice.
"I'm thinking about asking Ja—"
"Mr. Mysterious,"
Sunoo interrupted.

Ni-Ki snickered and rolled his eyes
before continuing.
"I'm thinking about asking MR.
MYSTERIOUS—you happy now?"
Sunoo nodded his head and
gestured for Ni-Ki to keep talking.
"I thought about asking him if we could get
something to eat or something like that."

"Don't tell me you're growing
feelings for him!"
"What?! No! I'm not!"
Sunoo squinted his eyes.
"I don't believe you."
Sunoo stood up from the couch,
and walked into the kitchen.

Ni-Ki followed after him and
sat down on a kitchen stool.
As Sunoo grabbed the jug of water
from the fridge, about to pour it in,
Ni-Ki spoke.
"I don't like him. I just...wanna be
his friend is all."

"Uh-huh, ok,"
Sunoo sarcastically agreed.
"Hyung! I'm being serious!"
Ni-Ki defended himself.
"Ni-Ki, you can just tell me if you
like him. It's not like I would care,"
Sunoo said.
"Oh my god—hyung, I don't like him
like that."

Sunoo sighed and clicked his tongue.
"Ok, whatever you say."
Now Sunoo had finished pouring a glass
of water for himself and grabbed it to drink.

"Imma go ask him if he's free today."
Ni-Ki got up from the stool and
into his bedroom he went.
He grabbed his phone and pressed
Jay's contact number.
He then tapped to audio call him
and was waiting a few seconds
for Jay to pick up the call.
