17. awkward dinner

Author's POV

"Hello?"
Jay said, answering the phone.
"Ah! You've finally answered!"
Jay's dad exclaimed.
"Yeah..."
"Come home."

Jay sighed.
"I can't."
"Why? You're mother and I
want you to come back."
"I like being here. I can't
stay with you anymore."

Mr. Park clicked his tongue.
"Jay, I want you to come home, now.
We can talk man to man here,"
Mr. Park suggested.
"Umm..."

Jay looked at Ni-Ki,
anxious.
Ni-Ki's eye became very soft.
"What?"
Ni-Ki whispered.
Jay put himself on mute.

"He wants me to go over there!"
"Well, do you want to?"
"I don't know!"
"Why does he want you?"
"To talk about me being here,
also I think he wants me to
come back home..."

Ni-Ki pursed his lips.
"Say yes,"
Ni-Ki said.
Jay was silent.
"W-why?"
"Do it. Or you'll probably
regret it. Trust me."

Jay then unmuted the
microphone.
"Ok, I'll come back.
But only to talk to you then
I am leaving!"
Jay demanded. 
Mr. Park was over the moon
when his son Jay said yes.

"Great, be here in
the next hour or so.
Oh! And bring that
boyfriend of yours."
Mr. Park then hung
up the phone.

Jay then glanced at
Ni-Ki who was trying
to comfort him. 
"He invited you..."
Jay said.
Ni-Ki's body stiffened.

"Huh?"
"He wants you to come as well."
This took Ni-Ki awhile to process.
"Ok..."

"I'm sorry."
"No, trust me, its fine. It's a good
thing that you'll be seeing him,"
Ni-Ki mumbled.
Jay just nodded his head.

Author's POV

An hour has passed.
It was now almost 6 pm.
Jay and Ni-Ki had just
left the apartment complex.

They walked through the
streets of Seoul for about
10 minutes or so.
They of course were holding
hands!

Jay and Ni-Ki kept on
walking until they got to
the street of which Jay
lives or lived on.
They soon both got to the house.
Jay opened the gate
and pulled Ni-Ki in with him.

There they walked to the door
and knocked on it.
Soon the front door opened
revealing Jay's mother.
She had a long
black dress on.

"Oh! Jay!"
She ran towards him
and hugged her son.
Jay gently hugged her back.
Jay would be lying if
he said he didn't miss his
mother.

"Oh! You must be..."
Jay's mother turned
towards Ni-Ki but she
had no clue what his name was.
"Ni-Ki, my name is Ni-Ki."

Mrs. Park shook Ni-Ki's
hand with a smile.
"Honey! They're here!"
Mrs. Park shouted to
inside the house.

She brought the two boys
inside the home, and closed
the front door.
They waited only a minute before
Mr. Park came up to them.

"Jay! It's so good to see you!"
Mr. Park patted his son's shoulder.
Jay just awkwardly nodded.
"And you're his boyfriend..."
"Yes, I am,"
Ni-Ki replied with, immediately.
